ELECTROSTATIC HANDHELD SPRAYER
20210402422 · 2021-12-30 ·

A fluid sprayer includes a pump and an electrostatic module configured to provide an electrostatic charge to spray fluid. The electrostatic module is electrically connected to a conductive component of the fluid sprayer, such as a fluid displacement member, fitting, cylinder, or spray tip, to charge the spray fluid via the conductive component. The fluid is electrostatically charged prior to exiting the fluid sprayer.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DEFECT REPAIR

A system for repairing a paint defect of a part can have means for identifying the paint defect of the part, a robotic applicator, and a computer module. The robotic applicator can include a dispenser and a pad. The robotic applicator can be configured to position the dispenser and the pad adjacent to the paint defect of the part. The dispenser can be configured to atomize a composition into an atomized composition. The dispenser can be also configured to dispose a predetermined amount of the atomized composition on the paint defect. The pad can be configured to work the predetermined amount of the atomized composition on the paint defect. The computer module can be in communication with the robotic applicator. The computer module can be configured to control functions of the robotic applicator.

Razor Blade and Method of Making It

In the method for coating a razor blade with a lubricating material, a razor blade is provided having a body portion and a tip end defined by at least one tip surface and a cutting edge. The lubricating material is sprayed on the tip end of the razor blade, wherein spraying the lubricating material is performed steam-aided in that the lubricating material is introduced into a superheated water steam directed towards the tip end of the razor blade. Moreover, a method of making a razor blade by using the afore-mentioned method for coating the razor blade with a lubricating material is provided. Finally, also a razor blade coated in accordance with these methods, and a shaving razor provided with such a razor blade are described.

Airstream Propelled Spray Atomizer Apparatus and Method of Fluid Atomization by Codirectional Airstream Propulsion
20210387215 · 2021-12-16 ·

An airstream propelled spray atomizer apparatus and method of fluid atomization by codirectional airstream propulsion enables controllable atomization of a second fluid into a first fluid for use in surface treatment and cleaning. A user is able to alter the amount of atomization of the second fluid, from a spray to a mist, during spray operations without having to stop and change nozzles. Further, effectuating atomization via in-stream introduction rather than via structural impediments disposed interior to the nozzle prolongs nozzle life over extended operations.

DEVICE FOR GENERATING A CO2 SNOW JET
20220168762 · 2022-06-02 ·

The invention relates to a device for generating a CO.sub.2 snow jet, comprising an expansion channel (6) which extends in a flow direction (14) for generating a CO.sub.2 gas/CO.sub.2 snow mixture based on liquid CO.sub.2, said expansion channel having an inlet opening (18) for supplying liquid CO.sub.2 and an outlet opening (22) for discharging the CO.sub.2 gas/CO.sub.2 snow mixture. The device also comprises a nozzle for generating an outer jet which surrounds and accelerates the CO.sub.2 gas/CO.sub.2 snow mixture discharged from the outlet opening of the expansion channel. The expansion channel has multiple channel sections (36a, 36b, 36c, 36d, 36e) arranged one behind the other in the flow direction, wherein the expansion channel cross section (40) that lies on a plane orthogonal to the flow direction changes locally in a particular transition or transition region (38a, 38b, 38c, 38d, 38e, 38f) between the channel sections, and the expansion channel (6) cross section (46d) at the upstream end (48d) of a particular channel section (36d) is larger than the expansion channel (6) cross section (46c) at the upstream end (48c) of the channel section (36c) arranged upstream of said channel section (36d) in the flow direction (14).
