APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING AND CONCENTRATING FINE PARTICLE AEROSOLS
20190160232 · 2019-05-30 ·

A system and a method for generating a respirable dry powder aerosol from a liquid solution or liquid suspension at a respirable dry powder aerosol volume flow. A liquid aerosol generating nozzle generates from the liquid solution or liquid suspension a liquid aerosol that is diluted by dilution gas and dried in a cylindrical evaporation chamber to generate a dry powder aerosol. The system and method include heliox as a gas, specifically dilution gas, for enhancing the drying process in the cylindrical evaporation chamber, but also as a nozzle gas for enhancing generating the liquid aerosol from the liquid solution or liquid suspension.

Systems, apparatuses, and methods for reducing humidity of air adjacent to a nozzle of an electrospinning apparatus, charged solution output by the nozzle, a solution path between the nozzle and a deposit surface, and/or the deposit surface. The apparatus can be configured to controllably output the charged solution and gas of a predetermined dryness for deposit of the charged solution on the deposit surface. The gas of the predetermined dryness can be provided adjacent to a nozzle tip of the nozzle from where the charged solution is output. The gas of the predetermined dryness may be output in a predetermined direction toward a focal point at, in front of, or behind the nozzle tip.

Liquid supply container for a spray coating device

A system includes a gravity-feed spray coating device having a body with a liquid inlet, a handle coupled to the body, a spray head coupled to the body, a liquid passage extending from the liquid inlet to the spray head, and a gravity-feed container fastener disposed adjacent the liquid inlet. The gravity-feed container fastener includes a non-compression container fastening mechanism. The system also includes a first gravity-feed liquid supply container having a liquid outlet and a compression fitting adapter, wherein the compression fitting adapter compression fits the liquid outlet to the liquid inlet without the non-compression container fastening mechanism.

CLEAR SEALANT FOR AIRCRAFT PARTS AND ASSEMBLIES

Applicant discloses a two part polymer mix for use in the aircraft industry that is applied with pneumatic mix and spray gun. The two part cartridge is used in the mix and spray gun so the mix is applied immediately upon mixing, but the two components are kept separated unless the gun is applying the mix. The mix cures to form a clear sealant that allows for inspection of cracks and corrosion beneath the sealant. It cures quickly so that the coated part may be further processed, for example in the assembly line during aircraft build. Applicant further discloses multiple spray gun systems for applying such a two-part polymer mix to aircraft parts.

ARTICULATED AND EXTENDIBLE ROTARY HEAD FOR A PRESSURISED AIR JET SPRAY GUN
20240238825 · 2024-07-18 ·

The invention relates to an articulated and extendible rotary head for a pressurised air jet spray gun, formed by rotary modules that are articulated, combined and stacked such that they can be bent for use on corners or edges. The first module is a supporting clamp module in the form of a quadrilateral with curved sides attached using swivel screws to the body of the gun or to another rear or front clamp module, through which extend a bellows that channels the liquid to be sprayed, two air supply hoses and the needle obstructing the paint opening, all terminating in a front-end second module in the form of a hollow truncated cylinder with a central outlet for spray liquid, blocked by a shut-off needle tip that can be extracted by pulling a trigger in order to release the spray jet, with the needle divided into two parts connected by a flexible, high-tenacity traction wire and a recovery spring.
