SYSTEM AND METHOD OF FORMING SELENIZED COMPOSITE METAL POWDER
A method includes providing a molten stream of a metal material to an atomizer, atomizing the molten stream using at least one jet of a vapor stream comprising a selenium vapor to form atomized droplets, and solidifying the atomized droplets to form selenized metal particles.
Static spray mixer
A static spray mixer for mixing and spraying two flowable components includes a tubular mixer housing extending in the direction of a longitudinal axis up to a distal end with an outlet opening, having one mixing element arranged in the mixer housing for mixing the components and having an atomization sleeve with an inner surface surrounding the mixer housing in an end region. The atomization sleeve has an inlet channel for a pressurized atomization medium. A plurality of grooves is in the outer surface of the mixer housing or in the inner surface of the atomization sleeve and extend toward the distal end and form separate flow channels between the atomization sleeve and the mixer housing through which the atomization medium flows from the inlet channel of the atomization sleeve to the distal end of the mixer housing. The inlet channel is arranged asymmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis.
HIGH-VOLUME LOW-PRESSURE END EFFECTOR
A high-volume low-pressure end effector is presented. The high-volume low-pressure end effector comprises a connection arm and a spray head. The connection arm comprises a housing with flexible conduits running through the housing. The spray head has integral channels configured to receive air and a fluid from the flexible conduits and deliver the air and the fluid to a number of outlets.
Analytic nebuliser
The invention provides an analytic nebuliser device for delivering a sample in aerosolised form, the device comprising a nebuliser nozzle configured to receive a flow of said sample and generate a plume of aerosolised sample spray and a chamber configured to receive a flow of make-up gas and connecting with a plurality of microchannels having outlets arranged around and adjacent to said nebuliser nozzle wherein the microchannels are configured to produce a make-up gas stream with high linear velocity around said aerosolised sample spray to shape and direct said plume. The invention extends to a mass spectrometry or spectroscopy system including the above analytic nebuliser device, to provide in operation the aerosolised sample spray to an ionisation device of the system.
NOZZLE ASSEMBLY WITH AUXILIARY APERTURES
Provided are nozzle assemblies for a spraying apparatus having an outer wall (146) having opposed inner and outer surfaces, a central aperture (136) extending through the outer wall, and a pair of auxiliary apertures (158) disposed on the outer wall (146). Each auxiliary aperture is aligned along a respective auxiliary axis (162) and areas of the inner surface (164) of the outer wall (146) adjacent to the auxiliary apertures (158) are countersunk to define ledges (166) that are axially symmetric about the auxiliary axes (162). These assemblies obviate problems associated with rotatable molding pins and also provide the unexpected advantage of providing axial alignment of the air flow profile as air is emitted from the auxiliary apertures.
PRESSURIZED AIR ASSISTED FULL CONE SPRAY NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
A spray nozzle assembly having a nozzle body and a downstream air cap. The air cap has a central opening through which liquid is directed and a plurality of circumferentially spaced air passages oriented at a compound angle to the central flow axis of the air cap opening for directing pressurized air flow streams that interact with discharging liquid for atomizing the liquid while imparting a tangential direction to the atomized liquid for enhanced atomization and a swirling movement into a full cone spray pattern. The air cap may have an integrally formed spray tip or a separate spray tip may be associated with the nozzle body. The air cap may be formed with a downstream conical recess into which liquid and air streams are directed, or alternatively, be designed for atomizing liquid internally within the air cap.
Method for producing a spray jet, and two-component nozzle
A method for producing a spray jet from a liquid/gas mixture with a two-component nozzle having a nozzle housing, including the steps of blending a supplied liquid and a supplied gas and producing a spray jet consisting of gas and liquid drops, producing a gas jet and mixing of gas jet with the spray jet.
SPRAY HEAD FOR A PAINT SPRAYER, AND PAINT SPRAYER
The present invention relates to a spray head for a paint sprayer, in particular a paint spray gun or a paint spray lance, for generating a paint jet. Here, an air cap comprises two curtain air channels whose outlets are arranged between air horns, and whose outlets lie opposite each other in relation to a longitudinal axis of a through-opening of the air cap.
Method for dispensing controlled patterns of liquid material
A liquid dispensing module and nozzle or die tip for discharging at least one liquid filament. The nozzle includes a strand guide for guiding a substrate past the nozzle and a frustoconical protrusion disposed on a surface of the nozzle adjacent the notch. A liquid discharge passage extends along an axis through the frustoconical protrusion and forms an acute angle with a machine direction corresponding to movement of the strand past the nozzle. Four air discharge passages are positioned at the base of the frustoconical protrusion. Each of the air discharge passages is angled in a compound manner generally toward the liquid discharge passage and offset from the axis of the liquid discharge passage to create the controlled pattern of liquid material on the strand.
ATOMIZATION DEVICE
Gas-liquid ejector (50) includes atomization space (51) in which flow path (31) downstream of liquid flow path (21) is connected to a central part of an end surface of atomization space (51) on an upstream side, flow path (40) downstream of gas flow path (22) is connected to a circumference around the central part of the end surface of atomization space (51) on the upstream side, and flow path (40) downstream of gas flow path (22) has central axis (42) inclined from central axis (11) of flow path (31) downstream of liquid flow path (21).
