A fishing lure that includes magnetizable, exchangeable plates on the dorsal and ventral surface of the lure. A magnet is provided within the lure body for releasable attraction of various plates to the top and bottom surface of the lure. The elongate body allows for placement of different plates within the single elongate body, thus changing the look of the lure.

A fishing lure having interchangeable inserts includes a lure body having a front end, a rear end, a left side, a right side, a top side, and a bottom side. At least the left side, but in some embodiments also the right side, includes an insert slot with an opening proximate the rear end. The insert slot has at least one pair of opposing flanges. An insert engages the insert slot and has a catch at a forward end thereof adapted for engaging the snap aperture of the lure body. An outer surface of the insert with a natural attractant is visible through the insert slot between the flanges. The insert is preferably one of many available inserts that all have varying outer surface characteristics, such as color, pattern, texture, attachments, and the like. A fishing lure attachment cooperative with the inserts is used with existing fishing lures.

A fishing lure that is configured to have the exterior thereof altered wherein the exterior can be provided in a different color or have alternate surface element features. The invention includes a body wherein the body includes at least one hook member and an attachment member. The fishing lure includes a housing wherein the housing is configured to be surroundably mounted to the body. The housing includes a first portion and a second portion that are releasably coupled so as to surroundably mount the housing to provide an alternate exterior appearance of the fishing lure. The housing is mateably shaped to the body with the first portion and second portion having a cavity so as to be able to receive approximately half of the body therein. The housing is provided in a different color and can include alternate surface elements so as to alter the appearance of the fishing lure.

A modularized spinnerbait rig includes an embedded fork system to change a spinnerbait head in real time and includes a pivoting assembly to cause the spinnerbait head to pivot.

A quick-change spinnerbait system for containing a plurality of interchangeable components being selectively couplable to each other includes a wire being elongated and coupling to a fishing line. A lure is coupled to the wire and catches fish when the lure is positioned in water and pulls fish coupled to the lure when the fishing line pulls the wire. A sleeve is coupled to the lure and has a decorative indicia on an exterior of the sleeve, wherein the decorative indicia the sleeve attracts fish to the lure. A first housing is coupled to the wire and a first insert is insert within the first housing and attracts fish to the wire. A second housing is coupled to the wire and second insert is inserted within the second housing and attracts fish to the wire. A plurality of reflective members is coupled to the wire and attracts fish towards the wire.

The lip release is actuatable to release the lip for removal from the main body. The modular lure allows a user to quickly and easily interchange lips for any desired diving action of the modular lure.

A modularized spinnerbait system or kit includes a fork system to change fishing components in real time without having to tie or untie a fishing line with each change.

The rapidly interchangeable fishing lure system disclosed herein gives an angler the ability to switch tackle faster, more efficiently, and more cost effectively while fishing, and allows the angler to be more conscious of the environment. The system comprises, generally, an adapter mechanism between a fixed receiver and an interchangeable lure that allows the angler to change tackle without cutting the leader line in their setup. The interchangeable lure may be attached to the fixed receiver via the adapter mechanism, and may be disconnected from the receiver via the adapter mechanism. A second interchangeable lure may then be attached to the receiver via the adapter mechanism without the need for cutting any lines or replacing any attachments. In this way the angler may switch between tackle equipment rapidly, and as desired, without significant down time or the creation of waste.

A fishing lure may include a body and a removable lip, which may be removed manually without the use of tools by pressing on portions of the body to release a catch between the removable lip and the body.
