Metered fluid dispensing system
A fluid dispensing device having a flexible fluid pouch and a dispensing assembly, the dispensing assembly having a top piece and a bottom piece, the top piece having a flexible actuator including a flexible dome and a flexible flange extension, the bottom piece having a bottom portion of a pump chamber, a pump chamber inlet, a chamber inlet valve, and a bottom portion of an outlet valve, the top piece and the bottom piece mated together to form a pump chamber and an outlet valve, the device configured to allow bidirectional fluid flow through either or both inlet and outlet valves, and to dispense a volume of fluid that is less than the volume of the pump chamber. The flexible pouch may have a single opening or two openings. In the case of a single opening, the entire dispensing assembly is in the interior of the pouch. In the case of two openings, only the flexible dome extends to the exterior of the pouch. The outlet valve is configured so that the more pressure that is applied to the flexible fluid pouch, the more tightly the outlet valve seals.
RECYCLABLE, PRE-COMPRESSION DISPENSER WITH TRIGGER SPRAYER
A trigger sprayer is made from a single grade of polymer capable of being reused as post consumer resin. The design allows for upright and inverted actuation. A pre-compression diaphragm ensures that dispensing stroke delivers a complete and uniform amount of fluid.
PUMP FOR COSMETIC PRODUCT VIAL PROVIDED WITH AIR PURGING MEANS
A pump for a vial intended to contain a cosmetic product includes a variable-volume dosing chamber defined at least partially by a deformable element. The pump operates by varying the volume of the chamber by elastic deformation of a membrane of the deformable element from an initial state wherein the chamber has a maximum volume to a deformed state wherein the volume of the chamber is minimal. The chamber is provided with a product inlet orifice and a product outlet orifice, and the pump includes deformation means of the membrane configured to exert pressure on the membrane. Finally, the pump includes means to purge the air from the chamber, that is activated when the membrane is in its deformed state, the purging means enabling the dosing chamber to communicate with the outside of the pump.
Pump for cosmetic product vial, sealed under low-pressure conditions
A pump for a vial intended to contain a cosmetic product. The pump includes a dosing chamber with a variable volume defined at least partially by a deformable element between an initial state and a deformed state. The pump further includes a guiding rod passing through the deformable element, the latter sliding along the rod when it undergoes a deformation. The deformable element includes an outlet lip delimiting an outlet orifice, surrounding a section of the rod, and bearing in a sealed manner against the rod or deviating from the rod according to the pressure in the chamber. A clamping edge extending from the rod maintains the outlet lip bearing in a sealed manner against the rod when the membrane is in the initial state thereof whatever the pressure in the chamber and whatever the pressure around the pump.
All-polymer pump dispenser with internal plug seal
A pump dispenser comprises an actuator head (100) having a dispensing channel communicating with a nozzle outlet (122), a closure body (20) having a top facing (203), at least one engagement feature extending axially upward from the top facing, and a recess (210) formed in the top facing. The recess has a cylindrical sidewall (212) with a plurality of axially-aligned stoppers positioned along the cylindrical sidewall and an annular ledge (220) defining an inlet port at a bottom end of the recess, said ledge including a cylindrical abutment (240) extending axially upward within the recess (210). An internal plug (40) is positioned within the annular recess, and includes an annular disk (400) with at least one axially-aligned stopping flange (410) positioned at or around a periphery of said disk and a plurality of axially-aligned engagement flanges (420) positioned toward a center of said disk. A resilient bellows (30) has a cylindrical outlet (361) positioned in a deformable top wall (35) and a cylindrical enclosure (32) extending downward from the deformable top wall. The cylindrical outlet connects to a plurality of axial outlet flanges (362) extending below the deformable top wall and supporting a central engagement nub (364). The inlet port is selectively held sealed by the annular disk (400), which is secured by at least one of (i) the engagement flanges (420) coupling to the engagement nub (364) and (ii) the at least one stopping flange (410) abutting the terminal end of at least one of the axial outlet flanges.
Plastomer spring with captive valve
The disclosure relates to a fluid pump including a plastomer spring with a captive valve element provided in an integrally formed valve chamber. The spring includes a first end portion and a second end portion and one or more spring sections connecting the first end portion to the second end portion, which spring sections can be compressed in the axial direction from an initial condition to a compressed condition and can subsequently expand to their initial condition. The valve chamber is formed in the first end portion.
The chamber is provided with a product inlet orifice and a product outlet orifice, and the pump includes deform the membrane by exerting pressure on the membrane. Finally, the pump purges the air from the chamber when the membrane is in its deformed state, by enabling the dosing chamber to communicate with the outside of the pump.
