Pump for cosmetic product vial provided with air purging means
A pump for a vial intended to contain a cosmetic product includes a variable-volume dosing chamber defined at least partially by a deformable element. The pump operates by varying the volume of the chamber by elastic deformation of a membrane of the deformable element from an initial state wherein the chamber has a maximum volume to a deformed state wherein the volume of the chamber is minimal. The chamber is provided with a product inlet orifice and a product outlet orifice, and the pump includes deform the membrane by exerting pressure on the membrane. Finally, the pump purges the air from the chamber when the membrane is in its deformed state, by enabling the dosing chamber to communicate with the outside of the pump.
BUFFERED PUMP SYSTEM
A pump including an inlet one-way valve; a pump chamber downstream of and in fluid communication with the inlet one-way valve; a piston slideably engaged with the pump chamber; a piston cavity within the piston and in fluid communication with the pump chamber; a liquid accumulator operable within the piston cavity; an actuator engaged with piston; and an outlet one-way valve downstream of and in fluid communication with the pump chamber.
Metering pump for a metering device and metering device
The present invention relates to a metering pump for a metering device, the metering pump being connectable to a storage container. The metering pump thereby comprises a non-return valve which has sealing elements on the base-side, which sealing elements enable internal sealing of the metering pump. In addition, the present invention relates to a metering device in which the metering pump according to the invention is connected to a storage container.
METERED AND ACTIVE SPRAYER DEVICES WITH AEROSOL FUNCTIONALITY ("Flairosol II")
In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, Flairosol dispensing devices can be provided. Such devices utilize a combination of Flair technology, pre-compression valves and aerosol-like pressurization of the dispensed liquid. Such a dispensing device has, for example, a main body comprising a pressure chamber, the latter being provided with a pressure piston and a pressure spring. The device further has a piston and a piston chamber which draws liquid from a container, for example, the inner container of a Flair bottle, and fills the pressure chamber with that liquid as a user operates a trigger in various compression and release strokes. The piston chamber has both an inlet valve and an outlet valve, which serve to prevent backflow. Liquid exiting the piston chamber under pressure (supplied by a user pumping the trigger) enters a central vertical channel which is in fluid communication with both the pressure chamber (above the pressure piston) and a dome valve provided near the outlet channel at the top of the dispensing head. The dome valve has a preset pressure, such that once exceeded by the liquid, opens and allows for a spray. If the liquid pressure drops below such preset pressure, the dome valve closes off the outlet channel, which serves to regulate the strength of the flow and preclude leakage. Alternatively, in an activated embodiment, for example, once the liquid is sufficiently pressurized, it can be dispensed by a user allowing the dome valve to open by pressing on an activation button that removes a dome lock.
Device for dispensing a product with improved triggering
The invention relates to a device (1) for dispensing a product (L), comprising: an element for connection to a container (R) containing the product; a piston (3) that is stationary in relation to the connection element; a cylinder body that moves around the piston, thereby defining a dosing chamber (100), the piston comprising a dosing inlet (35) for said chamber and the apex (64) of the dosing chamber comprising an outlet of the dosing chamber; and an inflow non-return valve (5) with a membrane for opening or closing the dosing inlet, the piston being in two parts, one of which forms a sealing joint with the cylinder body, the piston and the inflow non-return valve forming separate parts and being arranged such that the membrane is tightly clamped to the top of the piston.
Dispensing pump with skirt spring
A dispensing pump for liquids, viscous materials, foams, gels, etc. includes a resilient plastic skirt spring so that the entire pump can be more easily recycled. The skirt spring comprises a plurality of concentric nesting rings sequentially decreasing in diameter from a base ring to a top ring to form a conical shape wherein adjacent rings are interconnected by spaced bridge segments and the bridge segments are staggered at each sequential ring.
Liquid dispensing device having a pre-compression outlet valve
Provided is a liquid dispensing device that includes: a piston chamber; a piston that is moveable within the piston chamber to pressurize a liquid to be dispensed; a nozzle with a defined throughput for dispensing the liquid; an outlet valve having a defined minimum opening pressure arranged between the piston chamber and the nozzle; and a prime valve for priming the device, where the prime valve may be mechanically operable and may be arranged on or in the piston.
Device, System and Method for Dispensing a Liquid from a Container
The invention relates to a device (1) for dispensing a liquid from a container (C), comprising a pump (2) having a suction side (S) that is adapted to be brought into fluid communication with the container (C), a spray nozzle (3) in fluid communication with a pressure side (P) of the pump (2) through an outlet channel (4), a pre-compression valve (5) arranged in the outlet channel (4), and a gas buffer (9) in fluid communication with the pressure side (P) of the pump (2) and with the spray nozzle (3). The gas buffer (9) may comprise a buffer chamber (10) in which a gas-filled resiliently deformable body (11) is arranged, and the gas buffer (9) may extend from the pressure side (P) of the pump (2) in a different direction than the outlet channel (4). The invention further relates to a system for dispensing a liquid, comprising a container (C) that is filled with the liquid and a dispensing device (1) of the type described above connected to the container (C). And the invention relates to a method for dispensing a liquid, comprising the steps of: drawing the liquid from a container (C) and pressurizing the liquid by actuating a pump (2), wherein the container (C) and the pump (2) form part of a dispensing system; guiding a part of the pressurized liquid to a spray nozzle (3) of the dispensing system; spraying the liquid from the nozzle (3); guiding another part of the pressurized liquid to a gas buffer (9) for temporary storage; and spraying the stored liquid from the nozzle (3) when the pump (2) is not being actuated; wherein the pressurized liquid is guided from the pump (2) to the spray nozzle (3) in a different direction than from the pump (2) to the gas buffer (9).
