The invention relates to the field of inhalation devices for liquids. In particular, the invention relates to an improved seal construction for an inhalation device having a nebulizing nozzle and a piston which moves relative to a pumping chamber in order to generate pumping pressure and to an inhalation device comprising such seal.

An inhalation device for medically active liquids (F) for generation of an aerosol comprises a housing (1), an impingement-type nozzle (6) for generating the nebulised aerosol by collision of at least two liquid jets, the nozzle (6) being firmly affixed to the user-facing side of the housing (1) such as to be immobile relative to the housing (1), inside the housing (1) the inhalation device comprises a reservoir (2) for storing a liquid (F), a pumping device with a pumping chamber (3) for generation of a pressure inside said pumping chamber (3), wherein the pumping chamber (3) is fluidically connected with the reservoir (2), a riser pipe (5) which can be received with at least one reservoir-facing, interior end (5A) in said pumping chamber (3), and said nozzle (6) which is connected liquid-tight to an exterior end (5B) of the riser pipe (5), wherein the interior volume of the pumping chamber (3) is changeable by means of relative motion of the pumping chamber to the riser pipe (5) or vice versa.

A gap (10) can be present between an outside of said riser pipe (5) and an inside of said pumping chamber (3), and a seal (9) bridging said gap (10) in order to minimize pressure loss when a pressure is generated inside said pumping chamber (3).

Said seal (9) can be fixed to said outside of said riser pipe (5), and be moveable with respect to said inside of said pumping chamber (3).

DISPENSING PUMP WITH LOCKING STRUCTURES AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME

A dispensing pump includes a spring assembly and a locking arrangement to prevent the dispensing head from being deployed and/or actuated during shipment, stocking and pre-purchase handling. The dispensing pump includes a pump base, and a dispensing head having a piston stem. The spring assembly includes a slotted tubular spring element and first and second loading cones received at opposing ends of the slotted tubular spring element. Various locking arrangements may include interacting rotatable lugs provided between the dispensing head and the pump base, snap beads to retain the piston and dispensing head in a secured shipping position, and recyclable locking rings disposed between the dispensing head and pump base which prevent an active dispensing head from being actuated.

Liquid pump capable of achieving pressure equilibrium

A liquid pump capable of achieving pressure equilibrium includes a body, piston member, unidirectional input valve, unidirectional output valve, input inner-pipe, unidirectional gas-feeding hermetic-seal valve and input outer-pipe. The body has an input opening, output opening and piston opening. The piston member has a piston space communicating with the piston opening. The unidirectional input valve includes an input plug and input resilient element. The input plug abuts against the input opening. The unidirectional output valve includes an output plug and output resilient element. The output plug abuts against the output opening from outside. An input channel of the input inner-pipe communicates with the input opening. Direction of gas-flow between the unidirectional gas-feeding hermetic-seal valve and the input inner-pipe is opposite input direction of the input channel. The input outer-pipe has an input portion communicating with the input channel. A gas-feeding-channel is defined between a gas-feeding-portion and the input inner-pipe.

Powder dispensing container

The present invention relates to a powder dispensing container. When a button is pressed, a piston formed in close contact with the inner wall of an external housing is lowered so that air in the external housing is moved to an inner housing and discharges powder flowing into the internal housing, thus it is possible to always dispense the powder consistently regardless of the amount of the powder stored in a container body.

Pump for cosmetic product vial, sealed under low-pressure conditions
10926281 · 2021-02-23 · ·

A pump for a vial intended to contain a cosmetic product. The pump includes a dosing chamber with a variable volume defined at least partially by a deformable element between an initial state and a deformed state. The pump further includes a guiding rod passing through the deformable element, the latter sliding along the rod when it undergoes a deformation. The deformable element includes an outlet lip delimiting an outlet orifice, surrounding a section of the rod, and bearing in a sealed manner against the rod or deviating from the rod according to the pressure in the chamber. A clamping edge extending from the rod maintains the outlet lip bearing in a sealed manner against the rod when the membrane is in the initial state thereof whatever the pressure in the chamber and whatever the pressure around the pump.
