Dispenser having electronic actuation detection
10406304 · 2019-09-10 · ·

A dispenser for dispensing a pharmaceutical medium, including a sensor for sensing a dispensing operation and an electronic processing circuit for sensing and further processing a signal caused by the sensor. In order to simplify the design, the sensor is part of a sensor unit, which has a radio transmitter for producing a radio signal, and the processing circuit has a radio receiver designed to receive the radio signal produced by the radio transmitter.

Locking mechanism for an aerosol dispenser
11992608 · 2024-05-28 · ·

A locking mechanism for an aerosol dispenser is presented having a first body structure, a second body structure rotatably attached to the first body structure, a spindle rotatably attached to the second body structure, the spindle having an actuator rotationally cooperating with the first body structure such that rotation of the first body structure relative to the second body structure causes rotation of the actuator and of the spindle, a movable element arranged around the spindle, the spindle being rotatable relative to the movable element, wherein rotation of the spindle causes movement of the movable element along the spindle from an initial position to a final position, and a locking element, wherein in the final position the movable element applies a radial force onto the locking element causing the locking element to bend in the radial direction thereby preventing rotation between the first body structure and the second body structure.

Universal dispenser monitor

A retrofit dispenser monitor is disclosed. The dispenser monitor has a connector allowing it to be connected directly to one of a number of dispensers. The dispenser monitor also comprises a sensor configured to detect the dispensing action of the attached dispenser by learning the characteristics of the dispensing action. Information corresponding to the dispensing action is then transmitted to a remote location which allows the use of the dispenser to be monitored.

FLUID PUMP WITH WHISTLE
20240203218 · 2024-06-20 ·

A fluid dispenser with a fluid pump for dispensing fluid on movement of an actuator, and an air pump for delivering a stream of air through at least one sound generator on movement of the actuator. The sound generator produces at least two sounds as the actuator is moved from a first position to a second position, with each sound produced in a different time period during a cycle of operation, or differing from the other sound in respect of one or more detectable sound characteristics, such as duration, frequency, temporal alignment, amplitude, and/or timbre. The time period of each sound is a function of the relative location of the actuator between the first and second positions.

Device intended to contain and dispense a cosmetic substance
10239079 · 2019-03-26 · ·

The invention relates to a device intended to contain and dispense a cosmetic substance, said device comprising: a container that forms a leaktight volume having an orifice through which the cosmetic substance is introduced so as to be stored temporarily in said leaktight volume; a closure means for shutting off said orifice in the container; characterized in that said closure means has: a detection member for detecting actuation of said closure means with a view to taking said cosmetic substance; a communications interface for transmitting the information output by said detection member to an external data server.

Inhaler

An inhaler is proposed having an insertable container and a monitoring device for counting uses of the inhaler. The monitoring device is arranged in a detachable housing part or fitted onto a mouthpiece of the inhaler. A supply air current is detected by means of a pressure sensor. A position sensor may further be provided.

Nebulizer

A nebulizer and a container with a fluid for such a nebulizer are described, the container comprising an indicator device fixedly mounted on the bottom of the container, the indicator device stopping further use of the container in a locked state when a predetermined number of uses has been reached or exceeded, and when the nebulizer is partially opened, it is blocked against further use, and after replacement of the container including the indicator device, the nebulizer can be used again.

Device and method for dispensing a drug

A device for dispensing a topically administered drug has a spreader which is used to actuate a pump to release the drug and then to spread the drug on the skin and. The spreader is coupled to a lock that prevents it from actuating the pump after a number of drug doses have been dispensed. The pump can be actuated to release no more than the selected quantity of drug per day or actuation.

Tamper-proof and controlled dosing container

A tamper-proof and controlled dosing container including a container to store contents, an actuator coupled with the container, the actuator being depressible in a longitudinal direction to drive the contents held in the container out of a nozzle protruding horizontally from the actuator, and a functional ring. The functional ring further includes a tamper ring portion, a dosing ring portion, and a nozzle plug. The nozzle plug is affixed to the functional ring at one end and includes a protrusion at the opposite end to plug an orifice of the nozzle. The tamper ring portion is removably provided on the functional ring so as to prevent tampering with the contents held in the container. The dosing ring portion is controls the dose dispensed from the container by limiting the vertical movement of the actuator.

Nebulizer

A nebulizer is proposed as depicted in exemplary FIG. 7 which comprises a replaceable container, a counting device and a lock for locking the nebulizer against further use. The container is provided with an electronic storage which is electrically connected to the counting device. The nebulizer comprises an electric drive for actuating the lock. This allows secure operation and/or simple handling of the nebulizer.
