UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE FOR PAINTING STRUCTURES
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes a sprayer configured to generate a pressurized fluid flow and a nozzle configured to receive the pressurized fluid from the sprayer and to generate a spray fan to apply the fluid to a surface. The UAV includes sensors and a control unit to control both flight of the UAV and spraying by the sprayer. The fluid can be stored onboard the UAV in a reservoir or can be remotely stored and pumped to the UAV. The UAV control unit can be preloaded with a spray plan and a flight plan, or the UAV can be controlled by a user.

A spray tip comprises a tip body, a tip piece, and a pre-orifice piece. The tip body has a fluid channel along a channel axis (A.sub.C). The tip piece is disposed within the fluid channel, and has a stepped, narrowing passage that terminates in an outlet orifice. The pre-orifice piece has an inlet passage, and is disposed within the fluid channel, abutting and immediately upstream of the tip piece. The pre-orifice piece and the tip piece together define a turbulating chamber therebetween.

The tip flag portion includes a handle portion defining a handle axis, integrally formed with a first end of the tip flag portion, and an alignment portion defining an alignment axis, integrally formed with a second and opposing end of the tip flag portion. The handle axis and the alignment axis are non-collinear and intersect at an angle relative to the handle portion to prevent interference of the handle portion and barrel portion with one or more guards of the tip holder when the alignment portion is positioned in the barrel bore while in an alignment position.
Paint sprayer saddle seal insertion tool and method
A reversible paint spray tip, including a barrel portion configured to be inserted into a barrel bore of a tip holder, and a tip flag portion attached to the barrel portion and positioned generally transversely of the barrel portion. The tip flag portion includes a handle portion defining a handle axis, integrally formed with a first end of the tip flag portion, and an alignment portion defining an alignment axis, integrally formed with a second and opposing end of the tip flag portion. The handle axis and the alignment axis are non-collinear and intersect at an angle relative to the handle portion to prevent interference of the handle portion and barrel portion with one or more guards of the tip holder when the alignment portion is positioned in the barrel bore while in an alignment position.
Automated wall finishing system and method
A method of generating a building assembly that includes spraying a coating material onto a plurality of pieces of substrate disposed on a first assembly face. The spraying includes spraying the coating material onto the plurality of pieces of substrate via a sprayer configured to apply the coating material to a target surface via a nozzle coupled with a mobile storage container storing the coating material, the coating material impregnating voids of the substrate. The method also includes allowing the coating material impregnating the voids to dry and harden and become rigid to generate the building assembly.
