COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING WOOD RAILROAD TIES
A composition and method for maintenance of railroad wood ties is presented herein. The wood filler composition is applicable for filling holes or gaps in wood to stabilize wood structures. The composition comprises at least unintahite, also known as asphaltum or Gilsonite, and sand. The composition may further comprise a water repellant and a wood preservative. The composition is non-carcinogenic.
VALVE FOR FLOWABLE MEDIA
A valve for flowable media having a valve housing and an elongate closure member arranged therein and which can be axially moved in a medium channel of the valve by a controllable actuator and which in a closed position abuts a valve seat and closes a discharge opening connected to the medium channel, and which is connected to a sealing element to seal the medium channel, namely, a part-piece of an elongate bellows, which moves in an axial direction during movements of the closure member and which is a hollow member made of metal, wherein another part-piece of the bellows is fixedly supported in the valve. The relative axial position between the bellows and the valve seat is adapted to a production-related deviation of the longitudinal dimension of the bellows used from a desired longitudinal dimension so that this deviation is compensated for.
Hotmelt application system and process
System and process that continuously circulates hotmelt adhesive at a circulating pressure rate to apply hotmelt adhesive to a moving substrate on a substrate delivery conveyor. The system includes an adhesive delivery line connected to an elongated manifold, the manifold including: (i) a main internal fluid pathway in fluid communication with the adhesive delivery line and an adhesive return line, and (ii) an elongated heater providing a substantially constant internal temperature to the elongated manifold. An adhesive pump transporting hotmelt adhesive from the adhesive reservoir to the adhesive delivery line under pressure, the adhesive reservoir including a filter that filters hotmelt adhesive. A plurality of hotmelt spray heads in fluid communication with the main internal fluid pathway to dispense hotmelt adhesive onto the moving substrate. The adhesive return line in fluid communication with the adhesive pump and/or the adhesive reservoir to transport hotmelt adhesive from the elongated manifold.

Dispensing unit and dispensing system
A dispensing unit for dispensing liquid material includes a hollow reservoir for accommodating a syringe and having an elongated nipple at one end of the reservoir, a piston including a shaft disposed therein, and a bracket adapted to receive the nipple of the reservoir and the piston. The reservoir nipple provides a fluid path for liquid material dispensed from the syringe supported in the reservoir. The bracket receives the nipple of the reservoir such that the fluid path for the liquid material is oriented towards a nozzle disposed in the bracket. The nipple also has holes disposed near an end thereof, and the bracket is adapted to receive the piston oriented with respect to the reservoir nipple such that the shaft of the piston is aligned with the holes in the nipple and the nozzle. The shaft is displaceable through the holes in the nipple towards the nozzle.
ADHESIVE DISPENSING NOZZLE
A dispensing unit for an adhesive or other viscous liquid includes one or more dispensing nozzles for delivery of the adhesive to a desired surface. The dispensing nozzles each include one or more dispensing ports that are in fluid communication with a nozzle body recess defined through a nozzle body of the dispensing nozzle. Adhesive that is supplied to the nozzle body recess may be thrown laterally from the dispensing nozzle via the dispensing ports. Each of the dispensing ports may be positioned between a pair of projections. The projections protect the dispensing port from breaking due to contact with the surface on which the adhesive is applied or contact with another exterior object.
Method and Applicator for Continuous Sequential Application of Two or More Viscous Materials or Fluids
The purpose of the invention is to provide a method and an applicator for the continuous sequential separate application of two or more viscous materials or fluids, whereby two or more adhesives can be applied continuously in one operation in a track or line in turn or alternately or sequentially and thus different adhesives can be applied in turn without intervals as a continuous track or line or as a ring thereof.
A method for the continuous sequential application of two or more viscous materials or fluids, whereby control of the respective volume flows of the viscous materials or fluids is carried out so that the respective viscous materials or fluids are applied in turn.
Applicator for the continuous sequential application of two or more viscous materials or fluids, whereby two or more feed channels arranged adjacently in the longitudinal direction as a feed unit extending in a longitudinal direction are provided for separately guiding the viscous materials or fluids, wherein the feed channels each comprise a material outlet or fluid outlet at one axial end and the feed channels comprise a material inlet or fluid inlet in the area of the end opposite to the material outlet or fluid outlet in the longitudinal direction.
APPLICATOR WITH AT LEAST ONE PUMP HAVING THERMAL BARRIER AND ACTIVE COOLING
In one example, a pump assembly configured to connect to a manifold of an applicator includes a pump, a drive motor unit, and a thermal isolation region. The drive motor unit includes an output drive shaft connected to the pump and a drive motor configured to rotate the output drive shaft about a drive axis. The thermal isolation region is between the pump and the drive motor. The thermal isolation region includes an isolation plate and a thermal isolation frame. In one example, a cooling sleeve surrounds a proximal end portion of the drive motor unit so as to define an air flow passage between the proximal end portion of the drive motor unit and an inner surface of the cooling sleeve. In one example, the pump assembly further includes a coupling operatively connecting the pump and the drive shaft, the coupling including an insulating element therein.
LIQUID DISPENSING SPRAY NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
A modular liquid distribution system in which each module has a module body, a spray nozzle, and a piston for controlling the dispensing of liquid from the nozzle. Each module has a pneumatically operated system for moving the piston to an open position while facilitating quicker return movement to a closed position, enabling the dispensing of precisely controlled small droplet sized quantities of highly viscous liquids.
