Also, the controller causes the inspection unit to perform inspection of the imprint area in association with the movement of the imprint area by means of the movable unit.

The valve assembly is configured to receive the piece of tubing and configured to move between a first position to limit fluid communication between the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet and a second position to provide fluid communication between the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet to dispense fluid to the end of the piece of tubing. The assembly provides for careful control over the amount of liquid that is applied and the depth of the wetting.

The first and second additional part vectors are fed back as additional parts to the next input vector for the machine learning instance.

An apparatus for applying adhesive to both ends of each of a pair of rails for adhesive attachment to posts for example of a door includes a support head with two channels and center fence for supporting the rails in parallel position for presenting the ends side by side vertically upwardly to an adhesive applicator head with a nozzle guided by a three axis movable support. The support head is rotatable through 180 degrees about a transverse axis so as to present the other ends and there is provided a drive system defined by set of drive rollers for driving the rails up to an end stop position at which the presented ends are at the adhesive applicator head. A laser sensor detects the end profile to ensure that the adhesive pattern matches a preselected required layout and to ensure no contact between the nozzle and the profile.

Bore Healing Mechanism

A device is provided for repairing erosion damage to a bore of a railgun with metal powder. The bore has a surface contour that extends longitudinally of the railgun. The device includes a housing, a profilometer sensor and a nozzle. The housing has a configuration that conforms to the surface contour and an upstream face on a longitudinal end. The profilometer sensor mounts to the upstream face to measure depth of the erosion and indicate a divot in the bore that involves repair to match the surface contour. The nozzle mounts to the upstream face to spray the metal powder from a reservoir within the housing in response to the divot indicated by the profilometer.

Methods and systems for robotically painting an object are provided. In one example, the method includes providing a scanner-robot arrangement. The scanner-robot arrangement includes a 3-D scanner, a robot, and at least one processor. The object is detected and an area to be painted is determined with the 3-D scanner in communication with the at least one processor. A robot path for painting the area is produced using the at least one processor. An applicator is held offset from the area of the object with the robot in communication with the at least one processor. The applicator is in fluid communication with a paint source that contains paint. The applicator is moved along the robot path with the robot in communication with the at least one processor while depositing the paint from the applicator onto the area of the object.
