SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS OF APPLYING, WITH A PRINTHEAD OF A PRINTING SYSTEM, INK TO A SUBSTRATE BASED ON A DISTANCE THE PRINTHEAD HAS MOVED
Systems, apparatuses and methods provides for technology that applies, with a printhead of a printing system, ink to a substrate as the substrate remains stationary and the printhead moves across the substrate. The technology determines, with a distance encoder, a distance that the printhead has moved, and controls application of the ink from the printhead to the substrate based on the distance.
Continuous additive manufacturing methods
A continuous method of manufacturing adhesives is provided. The method includes obtaining an actinic radiation-polymerizable adhesive precursor composition disposed on a major surface of an actinic radiation-transparent substrate and irradiating a first portion of the actinic radiation-polymerizable adhesive precursor composition through the actinic radiation-transparent substrate for a first irradiation dosage. The method further includes moving the actinic radiation-transparent substrate and irradiating a second portion of the actinic radiation-polymerizable adhesive precursor composition through the actinic radiation-transparent substrate for a second irradiation dosage. Optionally, the method also includes irradiating a third portion of the actinic radiation-polymerizable adhesive precursor composition through the actinic radiation-transparent substrate prior to moving the substrate. The first irradiation dosage and the third irradiation dosage are often not the same, thereby forming an integral adhesive having a variable thickness in an axis normal to the actinic radiation-transparent substrate.
Hydrophilic lubricating coating for medical catheters and its preparation method
The invention discloses a photocured medical catheter hydrophilic lubricating coating and a preparation method thereof. The hydrophilic lubricating coating comprises a primer coating and a lubricating coating. The primer coating is attached to the surface of a device, and the lubricating coating is attached to the primer coating. The primer coating comprises 1-10 parts by weight of one or more polyester acrylates, 50-90 parts by weight of one or more solvents, 0.5-5 parts by weight of one or more photoinitiators, 0.5-2 parts by weight of one or more wetting agents and 0.5-5 parts by weight of one or more reactive (or active) diluents. The lubricating coating comprises 1-10 parts by weight of one or more water soluble macromolecules, 1-5 parts by weight of one or more crosslinking (or crosslinked) macromolecules, 0-1 part by weight of one or more photoinitiators, 0.1-1 part by weight of one or more surfactants and 50-98 parts by weight of one or more solvents. The preparation method of the hydrophilic lubricating coating is simple and easy in operation. Substance residues caused by complicated high-temperature chemical reactions are avoided. The cured coating forms a crosslinking (or crosslinked) structure, has good adhesion on the surface of a medical catheter and has excellent and lasting lubricity in an aqueous medium. The friction coefficient of the surface of the medical catheter is reduced. Harm to human tissues and adhesion of macromolecules in blood are decreased.
STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES
One or more aspects of the present disclosure provide articles of manufacture and components of articles that incorporate an optical element that imparts a structural color to the component or the article. The component comprises a thermoplastic polymeric material, and can include or be made to have a textured surface.
HOME APPLIANCE INCLUDING HAIRLINE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A manufacturing method of a home appliance including a hairline according to disclosed embodiment includes forming at least one plating layer on the base material, processing the transverse hairline on the upper surface of the plating layer by tilting the hairline processing wheel at a predetermined angle, and forming a coating layer on the hairline.
ANTIBACTERIAL FILM, TOUCH PANEL, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR ANTIBACTERIAL FILM
An object of the present invention is to provide an antibacterial film having an antiglare function and excellent image visibility, a touch panel, and a manufacturing method for an antibacterial film.
An antibacterial film of the present invention contains a base material and at least one antibacterial layer disposed on the base material, in which the antibacterial layer contains a binder, a light diffusing particle, and an antibacterial agent particle and satisfies a specific condition 1.
Heat-treated PVC-plastic panel
A method of treating PVC plates as well as plates and panels manufactured by this method. The plates and panels, in particular wall, ceiling or floor panels, comprise a heat-treated carrier plate based on polyvinyl chloride with a density of, for example, 900 to 2,500 kg/m.sup.3 and a film applied thereon. The film is a thin PVC-film and comprises a decorative pattern directly printed thereon.
Insulating film forming method, insulating film forming device, and substrate processing system
A technique for obtaining good film quality in forming a silicon-oxide-containing insulating film as a coating film on a substrate. A coating liquid containing polysilazane is applied to a wafer, a solvent in the coating liquid is volatilized, and then the coating film is irradiated with ultraviolet rays under a nitrogen atmosphere before performing a curing process. Thus, dangling bonds are likely to be formed at hydrolyzed portions in polysilazane. Since dangling bonds are formed in advance at portions in silicon to be hydrolyzed, productivity of hydroxyl groups is enhanced. That is, since an energy required for hydrolysis is reduced, the number of the portions remaining without being hydrolyzed is reduced even when the curing process is performed at a low temperature. Therefore, dehydration synthesis occurs efficiently, which increases a crosslinking rate and makes it possible to form a dense (good film quality) insulating film.
Formaldehyde-free binder compositions and methods of making the binders under controlled acidic conditions
Formaldehyde-free binder compositions are described that include an aldehyde or ketone, a reaction product between a polyamine and an organic anhydride, and an acidic compound. The acidic compound may be an organic acid, an acidic catalyst, or both. The acidic compound is supplied in quantities that lower the pH of the binder composition to about 5 or less. The binder compositions may be used in methods of binding fiberglass and the resulting fiberglass products have an improved tensile strength due to the addition of the acidic compound.
