Provided is a conductive polymer dispersion, including: a conductive composite containing a ?-conjugated conductive polymer and a polyanion; a vinyl versatate polymer; and a dispersion medium.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SPECTACLE LENS, AND SPECTACLE LENS
An object is to provide a method for manufacturing a spectacle lens having an excellent cut ratio of light having a wavelength of 420 nm and further having an excellent appearance, and a spectacle lens.
[1] A method for manufacturing a spectacle lens, including a step of immersing a substrate in an immersion liquid containing an indole-based UV absorber, and [2] a spectacle lens including a substrate impregnated with an indole-based UV absorber by a dyeing method.
Common Feed System for Surface Treatment and Adhesive Application
A system for treating a surface and applying adhesive to an already treated portion of the surface concurrently is presented. The system comprises surface treatment equipment, adhesive application equipment, and a common feed system. The surface treatment equipment is configured to treat the surface of an elongated member. The adhesive application equipment is configured to apply adhesive to the already treated portion of the surface. The common feed system feeds the elongated member beneath the surface treatment equipment and the adhesive application equipment concurrently.
METHOD OF PRODUCING A WATER REPELLENT COATING ONTO TEXTILE SUBSTRATES USING A PLASMA GENERATED BY HOLLOW CATHODES
A hollow cathode plasma polymerization process applied to fabric substrates, in particular to methods, to apply a halogen-free, in particular fluorine-free, water repellent polymer coating, in particular durable water repellent coatings, to a fabric substrate as well as the products obtainable by such methods and systems.
METHOD FOR TREATING AN ELASTOMER PACKAGING ELEMENT, AND PACKAGING ELEMENT THUS TREATED
A method of treating an elastomer packaging element (10), in particular a stopper for medical or pharmaceutical use, the packaging element (10) having a bottom portion (11) that is to penetrate into a neck (21) of a container (20) and a top portion (12) that is to co-operate in sealed manner with a top surface (22) of said neck (21) of the container (20). The top surface of the top portion (12) is treated by a plasma-assisted polymerization method at atmospheric pressure using a plasma flame created at atmospheric pressure and into which a monomer is injected, the monomer polymerizing on the top surface in order to form a coating (18).
Robust interface bonding with B-staged thermoplastic polyimide adhesive
Thermoplastic Polyimide (TPI) polymer adhesive coated laminating films in which the TPI coating is under cured or B-staged as well as the process for preparing the films and the use thereof is disclosed.
LIGHT-TRANSMITTING LAMINATE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING LIGHT-TRANSMITTING LAMINATE
Provided are a light-transmitting laminate that, even when formed in a short period of time, satisfies the adhesiveness and light transmittance of a high refractive index thin film; and a method for producing the light-transmitting laminate. A light-transmitting laminate (10) has a metal thin film layer (16), a high refractive index thin film layer (14) that has a refractive index higher than that of the metal thin film layer (16), and a light-transmitting substrate (12) in this order. The high refractive index thin film layer (14) contains a leveling agent and a high refractive index polymer that has a functional group having at least one element selected from N, O, and S, and the content of the leveling agent is in the range of 0.20-20.32 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the high refractive index polymer.
UV/LED PRINTING AND FINISHING PROCESS
A UV/LED printing and finishing process is disclosed. The printing and finishing process improves the manner in which printing, permanent bonding, and finishing is performed on products containing low surface energy plastics, such as high-density polyethylene furniture. The process includes abrading a surface of the low surface energy plastic and then applying a corona or plasma treatment to the surface of the low surface energy plastic to increase the adhesion capabilities of the surface. Once the surface has been treater, the process may include printing a polymer ink onto the surface of the low surface energy plastic, such as by utilizing a UV/LED flatbed or hybrid printer. The process may also include curing the printed surface of the low surface energy plastic, and then finally applying a clear inorganic top coating onto the printed surface to protect the UV/LED cured polymer ink.
Method and apparatus for pre-treating a catheter
A method for pre-treating a catheter prior to using the catheter in a medical procedure, and a related apparatus, are provided. The method comprises exposing, in a plasma chamber positioned in a medical care center, and under sterile conditions, intraluminal surfaces and extraluminal surfaces of the catheter to plasma. The plasma is electromagnetically-generated adjacently to the intraluminal surfaces and extraluminal surfaces, thereby rendering, at least temporarily, the intraluminal surfaces and extraluminal surfaces of the catheter hydrophilic.
Wear resistant and biocompatible coatings for medical devices and method of fabrication
A method of forming a biocompatible or biologically inert article for use in an application in which the article will make contact with at least one tissue, organ, or fluid within a human or animal body is provided. The method generally comprises providing an article having an external surface; selecting chemical precursors; using a means to direct one or more chemical precursors towards or to apply such chemical precursors to the external surface; activating the chemical precursors by exposing said precursors to atmospheric pressure plasma; and grafting and/or cross-linking the chemical precursors to form a solid coating adjacent to the external surface of the article.
