Rolling equipment
According to an embodiment of the invention, a rolling equipment includes two coiler furnaces; a plurality of mill stands provided between the two coiler furnaces, the plurality of mill stands being for reverse rolling; and an induction heater provided between the plurality of mill stands, the induction heater implementing a heated temperature increase in a designated reverse rolling or in each reverse rolling, the heated temperature increase being in a hot strip longitudinal direction and width direction. Thus, the hot strip temperature distribution can be improved.
METHOD FOR REVAMPING A PLANT FOR PRODUCING FLAT ROLLED PRODUCTS
A method for revamping a starting rolling plant, for producing a final strip starting from a slab having a determinate starting thickness, including: at least one heating furnace configured to heat at least the slab to a determinate starting temperature; at least one reversible roughing stand configured to subject the slab to one or more rolling passes in order to obtain an intermediate rolled product; and a rolling train disposed operatively in line with the roughing stand, including at least one pre-finishing stand and a plurality of finishing stands and configured to reduce the thickness of the intermediate rolled product, until the final strip having a determinate final thickness is obtained.
PLANT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FLAT ROLLED PRODUCTS
A plant and a method for producing a final strip starting from a slab having a determinate starting thickness, including: at least one heating furnace configured to heat at least the slab to a determinate starting temperature; at least one reversible roughing stand configured to subject the slab to one or more rolling passes in order to obtain an intermediate rolled product; and a continuous rolling train disposed operatively in line with the roughing stand and configured to reduce the thickness of the intermediate rolled product, until the final strip having a determinate final thickness is obtained.
Edger feed rolls
A rolling mill edger includes a pair of work rolls (1, 2) and a feed roll assembly. The assembly includes one or more driven feed rolls (23) and a drive for the feed rolls. The feed roll assembly is mounted on a moveable (25) mount such that the feed roll assembly is movable by pivoting the assembly between an operative rolling position (54) in the edger and a roll change position (55) out of the edger.

PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT LINE FOR HOT-ROLLED STEEL STRIP AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR HOT-ROLLED STEEL STRIP
A production equipment line for a hot-rolled steel strip comprises a rough rolling mill comprising rough rolling mills for hot rolling a material, which is heated to a predetermined temperature to a finish rolling start sheet thickness and a finish rolling mill comprising finish rolling mills for controlled-rolling the material to a final sheet thickness. At least one of the rough rolling mills is a reversible rolling mill. The production equipment line is provided on an upstream side of the reversible rolling mill with one of a slow cooling apparatus for slowly cooling at a water volume density of less than 1000 L/min.Math.m.sup.2 and a rapid cooling apparatus for rapidly cooling after the slow-cooling at a water volume density of not less than 1000 L/min.Math.m.sup.2 and the other of the slow cooling apparatus and rapid cooling apparatus on a downstream side of the reversible rolling mill.
Method and equipment for cooling on a reversing hot rolling mill
The invention relates to a hot reversing mill equipped with one or more cooling systems consisting of bars of nozzles spraying an aluminum blank. It also relates to the hot rolling process associated with this hot reversing mill wherein the cooling system serves at least once making it possible to produce aluminum sheets advantageously. It also relates to the process for rolling an AA6xxx series aluminum alloy wherein a blank is cooled during the hot rolling and a sheet obtained with this process. The invention makes it possible to enhance the productivity of reversing mills by enhancing the metallurgical quality and/or the productivity of the other fabrication steps. The invention is particularly useful for providing superior quality 6xxx alloy sheets intended for the automotive industry.

Method for operating a steckel mill
A Steckel mill has a reversing unit for rolling a rolled product and winding furnaces arranged on the entrance side and exit side of the reversing unit. When rolling the rolled product in a region of a head of the rolled product, a target thickness of the rolled product is ignored, while measuring a current thickness and/or a hardness of the rolled product and comparing this with a setpoint value. One the measured variable reaches or is below the setpoint value, the reversing unit is operated with a view to achieving the target thickness of the rolled product. The Steckel mill is operated to allow for rolling of a cold, non-rollable piece of the rolled product, so that malfunctions are avoided and the usable part of the rolled product is as large as possible.
