Bumper cross member for a motor vehicle and method for the production of a bumper cross member
A bumper cross member for a motor vehicle is produced from an extruded hollow profile and has a front side forming an impact side, a rear side in opposition to the front side, end zones configured for connection to the motor vehicle, a central zone extending between the end zones and bent toward the impact side, and top and bottom sides connecting the rear side with the front side. Each of the top and bottom sides has a projecting flange which is separated from the rear side by a separation cut configured to end shy of the end zones so that the flanges are connected with the bumper cross member in the end zones.
Drawer release
A drawer release is described. The drawer release includes a handle portion pivotally or rotatably engaged to a fixed portion, and the fixed portion is attached to or connected to a drawer. The handle portion includes at least one engaging member that engages a lever or actuator of a drawer-slide of the drawer to open or release the drawer. The drawer release provides for the one-handed opening of the drawer.
Temperature control device, use of said device, method for producing a housing and housing
The invention relates to a device for temperature control in potentially explosive areas, comprising a temperature controller (10) and a housing (11) in which the temperature controller (10) is arranged, the housing (11) having a sealed opening (12) through which electrical lines (13, 14) of the temperature controller (10) are passed. It is characterized in that the temperature controller (10) has a measuring surface (15) which lies directly against an inner wall (16) of the housing (11) at least in certain areas and is electrically connected to an earthing tab (17), said earthing tab (17) being electrically connected to another line (18) which is guided through the opening (12).
AN EXTRUSION AND/OR PULTRUSION DEVICE AND METHOD
An extrusion- or pultrusion device (1) for forming a profile product (2) in a production direction (Y), said device comprising: rotating die (3) having two opposite first and second side walls (5, 6) and an outer circumferential surface (4) there between, wherein the rotating die (3) comprises a first side portion (23) in connection to the first side wall and a second side portion (25) in connection to the second side wall (6) and a mid-portion (22) extending between the first and second side portions (23, 25), wherein the first and/or second side portions (23, 25) comprises first and second flange portions (18, 19) extending in a radial direction (R) with an extension greater than a radial extension of at least a part of the mid-portion (22).
AN EXTRUSION AND/OR PULTRUSION DEVICE AND METHOD
An extrusion- or pultrusion device (1) for forming a profile product (2) in a production direction (Y), said device comprising: a rotating die (3) having two opposite first and second side walls (5, 6) and an outer circumferential surface (4) there between, wherein the rotating die (3) comprises a first side portion (23) in connection to the first side wall and a second side portion (25) in connection to the second side wall (6) and a mid-portion (22) extending between the first and second side portions (23, 25), wherein the width of the first channel section (9) is, at least along a portion of its length and at least along a portion of its height, less than a distance between the two opposite side walls (5, 6) of the rotating die (3).
Each of the top and bottom skies has a projecting flange which is separated from the rear side by a separation cut configured to end shy of the end zones so that the flanges are connected with the bumper cross member in the end zones.
EXTRUDED ALUMINUM STICKER FOR SPACING WOOD
A sticker for spacing wood is extruded from an aluminum alloy. The sticker can have different configurations. In a first configuration, the sticker has a width about the same as its height, with longitudinal ridges on all sides that grip wood when wood is stacked on the sticker. In a second configuration, the sticker has a width significantly greater than its height, with longitudinal ridges on the top and bottom surfaces, and with smooth side surfaces. The longitudinal ridges have a height within a specified range and are spaced at a distance peak-to-peak within a specified range. The ridges provide good grip of lumber stacked on the sticker yet do not easily plug with wood fibers through repeated use. The extruded aluminum sticker is very rugged and can be used for hundreds or even thousands of drying cycles.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXTRUSION CORRECTION
A method for work piece correction including providing a work piece and analyzing its geometry. Based on the analysis, the method includes determining an initial design of simulated clamp blocks and conducting an initial computer-simulated analysis of work piece correction using the initial design. The method includes determining whether the initial computer-simulated analysis meets predetermined performance criteria and iteratively repeating additional computer-simulated analyses using additional designs until a final clamp block design produces results that meet predetermined performance criteria. The method includes forming clamp blocks based on the final clamp block design, installing the clamp blocks into clamps of a clamping system, and applying extrusion corrections to the work piece.
Method for producing a roof rail, extruded profile therefor and roof railing for a vehicle
The invention relates to a method for producing a roof rack, to an extruded profile for use in a method of this nature and to a novel roof rack for a vehicle. The novel roof rack for vehicles consists of an extruded profile (1) of aluminum, wherein the rail (13) is formed by a tubular profile part of the extruded profile (1), and the end feet (11, 12) are formed from a bend section of the tubular profile part. The roof rack has different cross-sections in the longitudinal direction, which are created by machining of at least one additional profile web on the extruded profile (1). Freely selectable lateral contours (20, 20′) for a roof rack can be achieved in this way.
METHOD FOR CALIBRATING A METAL PROFILE BLANK WHICH IS CONFIGURED AS A HOLLOW-CHAMBER PROFILE AND WHICH HAS AT LEAST ONE SOLID WALL
A method for calibrating a metal profile blank configured as a hollow-chamber profile having at least one solid wall. A pressing tool is closed in a main direction about one end region of an element of the profile blank until surfaces of the pressing tool lie against a pair of surfaces of the profile blank to be calibrated, deforming and bending the at least one end region of the element. The pressing tool is closed in a secondary direction perpendicular to the main direction until surfaces of the pressing tool lie against surfaces of the at least one end region, and wedge-like limbs of a drive element of the pressing tool engage wedge-like dies of the pressing tool. The pressing tool is closed further in the secondary direction, subjecting the profile blank to plastic deformation so as to reduce or eliminate the bending of the end region.
