A user-configurable fishing lure is provided allowing the user to customize movement of the lure when pulled through water by an attached fishing line. A slot communicating through the body of the lure at a second end defines two bendable portions of the body on opposing sides of the slot. User bending of one or both of the bendable portions to different bent configurations will impart differing oscillating and spinning and other movements to the lure when pulled through the water.

A lure imitating the swimming action of a fish, includes: a rigid head consisting of a flat rear section and elements for fixing a fishing line, a hook including a shaft fixed to the rear section of the head and extending along the longitudinal axis of the lure, a flexible body extending between a front and rear end, the front end being flat and resting against the rear section of the head, the front end having a section substantially equal to the rear section, the body including a first cylindrical part extending substantially along the longitudinal axis of the lure and including a recess, and a second curved part, a baffle extending in a transverse plane relative to the body, the baffle being fixed to the rear end of the body and increasing the curvature of the second part relative to a central line of curvature of the second part.

A fishing lure adapted to mimic sea turtle hatchlings in size, shape and movement is provided. The replica lure may provide a plurality of planar lure members that sandwich a proximal portion of a hook so that the distal portion is disposed adjacent to and underneath the mimicked sea turtle profile. The proximal end of the hook may provide a built up portion that is sandwiched, thereby providing voids between some of the plurality of lure members further mimicking the profile of a baby sea turtle, while also enabling a seesaw effect when the replica lure and/or hook is bitten by a fish.

The elongate body has opposing first and second ends and a central section with the first end having an angled section extending from the central section, an opening formed in the angled section, and a raised scoop formed on a first side of the central section adjacent the angled section with an interior in fluid communication with the opening in the angled section. A second end has an opening to accommodate a hook or fishing line. Preferably the lure is formed of metal having a polished finish that reflects light.

A reversible lure and method of making in which a cam lever from a nail clipper is removed and suitable hook and line are attached to opposing ends thereof.
