A friction stir spot welding device includes a pin member, a shoulder member, a rotation driving unit, a tool driving unit, a position detector, and a controller, wherein the controller sets as reference position of the tip end surface of the pin member or shoulder member at a time point when the pin member tip end surface or shoulder member contacts an obverse surface of an object and controls the tool driving unit reducing a pressing force to the object by the pin member and pressing force to the object by the shoulder member in a next welding process, and/or controls the rotation driving unit reducing the pin member rotational speed and shoulder member rotational speed in the next welding process, in case where a first position is the position of the tip end surface of the pin member or the shoulder member is within a first region.
FRICTION STIR WELDING DEVICE
In the present disclosure, friction stir welding tools having probes and stationary shoulders are disposed at corners between a first workpiece and a second workpiece. A welding device main body includes axially perpendicular movement units for moving spindle units, which hold the respective friction stir welding tools on a frame, in directions perpendicular to rotary shafts of probes, and axial movement units for moving the spindle units in directions parallel to the rotary shafts of the probes.
Device and method for welding together two joining partners by means of friction stir welding, which prevents the joining partners being contaminated by the welding residue
The invention relates to a method and to a device for welding together two joining partners by means of friction stir welding, which prevents the joining partners being contaminated by welding residue. The method comprises the following features: a welding head that can be integrated into any machine, said welding head being in the form of a spindle drive driven by a drive unit, comprising a mounting flange for securing the device assisting the welding process, and a clamping system for receiving a frustoconical-shaped tool having a welding and smoothing shoe for guiding a welding pin (11), a device (17) integrated into the welding and smoothing shoe for grinding the waste produced during the welding process, the waste produced during welding is then removed by means of one inlet channels for fluid arranged in the upper and/or lower area of the frustoconical-shaped tool for the fluid (20, 18) and a suction channel (19).
Apparatus and method for manufacturing a seamless pipe
Provided is an apparatus of manufacturing a seamless pipe. The apparatus includes a container receiving a work therein, a stem pressing one end of the work within the container, a die installed in a direction opposite to the stem, and having an extrusion hole comprised of a plurality of ports, a rotation member installed on a front end of the die, having a stirring tip inserted into a joint surface formed by abutting a plurality of metal pieces to each other on one surface, and rotating to perform a friction stir bonding in a state in which the one surface contacts the joint surface, and a correction mold including a metal pipe discharging path receiving a metal pipe manufactured by the friction stir bonding and discharging the metal pipe to an outside.
Friction stir welding method and apparatus for structural steel
An object is to provide a friction stir welding method and apparatus that provide sufficient strength and good welding workability by advantageously eliminating plastic flow deficiency generated as a result of insufficient heating of workpieces. In friction stir welding for steel sheets (3,3) as workpieces, a pair of facing rotary tools (1,15) are inserted into a non-welded part from both one surface side and the other surface side of the steel sheets (3,3), the rotary tools move in a welding direction while rotating, and in addition, a preheating process for heating steel sheets (3,3) is performed by heating means (5) provided in front of the rotary tools (1,15). The configuration of the pair of facing rotary tools (1,15) and the surface temperature, area, position, and so forth of a heated region in the preheating process are strictly controlled.
FRICTION STIR WELDING DEVICE, FRICTION STIR WELDING SYSTEM, AND FRICTION STIR WELDING METHOD
Provided are a friction stir welding (FSW) device, FSW system, and FSW method with which it is possible to expand the applications of FSW while increasing processing accuracy. In a FSW device, when a first member to be welded and a second member to be welded are continuously welded by moving a processing tool in a linear or curved manner with the processing tool, while rotating, being pressed in the axial direction against the first member to be welded and the second member to be welded, a control device executes a reaction force correction control that controls the output of support member actuators so as to cancel the reaction force acting upon the processing tool as a result of the rotation of the processing tool.
