METHOD AND DEVICES FOR PRODUCING ROUGHENED SURFACES
The present invention relates to apparatuses and methods for laser treatment, more particularly laser roughening, of surfaces.
HIGH POWER LASER OFFSHORE DECOMMISSIONING TOOL, SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
There is provided high power laser systems, high power laser tools, and methods of using these tools and systems for cutting, sectioning and removing structures objects, and materials, and in particular, for doing so in difficult to access locations and environments, such as offshore, underwater, or in hazardous environments, such as nuclear and chemical facilities. Thus, there is also provided high power laser systems, high power laser tools, and methods of using these systems and tools for removing structures, objects, and materials located offshore, under bodies of water and under the seafloor.
Expended laser tool
A laser tool apparatus includes a tool body; a fiber optic cable disposed in the tool body, the fiber optic cable including a laser head that emits a laser beam; a reshape optic disposed coaxially downstream of the fiber optic, the reshape optic reshaping the laser beam emitted from the laser head; and a flexible cable attached to the reshape optic. The flexible cable flexibly orients the laser beam at a desired angle within a borehole.
Machining head for laser machining machine, and laser machining machine
The invention relates to a machining head (1) for laser machining machines, in particular for laser cutting machines, having an interface to a laser light source (3), preferably to fiber-coupled or fiber-based laser sources. Said laser sources are designed for more than 500 W of average output power in the near infrared region. The interface is preferably designed for coupling an optical waveguide (2) for the working laser beam (6). The machining head (1) also has a focusing optical unit (11) having preferably only one imaging lens. A deflecting assembly (9, 10) for at least one single deflection of the working laser beam (6) is arranged between the interface and the focusing optical unit (11). Said deflecting assembly (9, 10) is designed as a passive optical element that changes the divergence of the working laser beam (6) in dependence on power.
Device And Method For Roughening Substrates
The invention relates to a device for roughening cylinder bores using a beam tool and offering a very high level of process reliability even for a large quantity.
Creating radial slots in a subterranean formation
A laser cutting apparatus conveyable within a casing lining at least a portion of a wellbore that extends into a subterranean formation. The laser cutting apparatus includes a housing, a deflector, a motor, a sensor, and a processing device. The deflector rotates relative to the housing to direct a laser beam to form a radial slot extending through the casing and into the subterranean formation. The motor rotates the deflector. The sensor generates information related to depth of the radial slot in real-time as the radial slot is formed by the laser beam. The processing device receives the information generated by the sensor and causes the motor to rotate the deflector based on the received information.
LASER SHOCK PEENING APPARATUS
A laser shock peening device and components thereof. The optical system of the laser peening device includes sapphire optical elements, such as a lens or a prism. A water channel is provided in a pen for the laser shock peening device that has a curved flow path to direct the water. An air conduit in the pen provides a stream of air to the surface receiving the laser shock peening treatment.
Laser Shock Peening Apparatus
A system and device for laser shock peening device and components thereof. The system includes umbilical cords with flexible outer sheaths surrounding the fiber optic cable within the umbilical. The umbilical may include two different sections with different outer sheathes. The applicator device may have a laser peening pen that has a longitudinal axis that is spaced from the longitudinal axis of the applicator device. In a method of operating the device, a first step includes a vertical movement, followed by a second step of rotation movement, and then another step of vertical movement opposite the first step.
EXTENDED LASER TOOL
A laser tool apparatus includes a tool body; a fiber optic cable disposed in the tool body, the fiber optic cable including a laser head that emits a laser beam; a reshape optic disposed coaxially downstream of the fiber optic, the reshape optic reshaping the laser beam emitted from the laser head; and a flexible cable attached to the reshape optic. The flexible cable flexibly orients the laser beam at a desired angle within a borehole.
LASER CLEANING SYSTEM
A laser cleaning system including a laser source, an energy-transferring optical fiber, a laser cleaning head, a coreless motor, a connection lens barrel, and a mirror.
