Fuel supply pipe assembly device
Provided is a device for assembling a fuel supply pipe of which a joint portion between a pipe body and a short cylindrical member has a high strength and which has high anti-corrosion performance. Specifically, while a laser beam in a defocused state is being emitted to impinge on an end portion of the pipe body that overlaps the short cylindrical member, the pipe body and the short cylindrical member are rotated through one complete turn relative to the laser beam, thereby melting the entire periphery of the end portion. While the laser beam in a defocused state is being emitted to impinge on the melted end portion, the pipe body and the short cylindrical member are rotated through at least one further complete turn, thereby joining by welding the end portion to the outer periphery of the short cylindrical member.

Weld filler additive and method of welding
A method of welding using a weld filler additive and a weld filler additive are provided. The method includes the step of welding the component with a filler additive comprising a sufficient amount of each of Co, Cr, Al, Ti, Mo, Fe, B, C, Nb, and Ni, the component including a hard-to-weld base alloy. The method further includes the step of forming an easy-to-weld target alloy on a surface of the component from the welding.

FUSION WELDING OF FERROUS ALLOY COMPONENT PARTS USING LOW CARBON STEEL BAND
A method of fusion welding two ferrous alloy component parts, at least one of which is considered unweldable, involves placing a low carbon steel band into a groove defined in part by each of the ferrous alloy component parts and then conveying a concentrated energy source along a welding line that overlaps the low carbon steel band to melt the steel band along with adjacent portions of the ferrous alloy component parts to form a blended alloy weld pool. The blended alloy weld pool solidifies behind the forward movement of the concentrated energy source into a weld joint that fusion welds the ferrous alloy component parts together. The ferrous alloy component parts may include a differential casing and a ring gear. In that regard, a differential casing and ring gear assembly that includes a weld joint is also disclosed.

Valve needle for a fluid injection valve
The present disclosure relates to fluid injection valves. Embodiments of the teachings thereof may include a valve needle for a fluid injection valve and a fluid injection valve. For example, a valve needle for a fluid injection valve may include: a needle shaft; and a sealing ball welded to a tip of the needle shaft. The welded joint between the sealing ball and the needle shaft comprises at least two separate weld seams extending along a perimeter of the valve needle in the form of c-shaped arcs.

Exhaust system component
An exhaust system component for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle comprises a substrate which is held in a substantially cylindrical housing. The cylindrical housing has a housing jacket which comprises a metal sheet bent about a cylinder axis. The ends of the metal sheet oriented in the circumferential direction relative to the cylinder axis form a joint connected with a weld seam. The weld seam is spaced apart from an inner surface of the housing jacket and the ends each have a bevel at least in sections.
