Method and system for joining two components of a meltable material
A method for joining two components of a meltable material comprises the steps of providing a first component having a first border region and a second component having a second border region, placing the second component relative to the first component so as to form an overlap between the first border region and the second border region under a gap between the first border region and the second border region, continuously heating opposed sections of the first border region and the second border region at the same time through at least one energy source arranged in the gap at least partially, continuously providing a relative motion of the at least one energy source along the first border region and the second border region in the gap, and continuously pressing already heated sections of the first border region and the second border region onto each other.

Laser welding system and method using machined clamping tool
A laser welding system for joining first and second thermoplastic workpieces, and including a clamp, an actuator, and a laser source. The clamp includes first and second clamping structures positioned together to engage opposite sides of the workpieces when they adjoin each other. The first clamping structure has a non-flat or irregular surface, facing the first workpiece. The actuator causes the clamping structures to press the first and second workpieces together. The laser source applies laser radiation having a wavelength of 2 microns toward the workpieces to be joined, while they are pressed together by the clamp, to melt irradiated portions of the workpieces to one another. The first clamping structure transmits substantially all of the energy of the laser radiation through the material. The first workpiece has a non-flat or irregular surface facing the first clamping structure, which substantially conforms with the surface of the first clamping structure.
Method of forming a cooling plate
In an embodiment, a method of forming a cooling plate, comprises laser welding a plurality of weld lines to physically connect a first substrate and a second substrate wherein the plurality of weld lines forms an inflatable track; and inflating the inflatable track with an inflation fluid to form a cooling channel in the cooling plate. In another embodiment, the cooling plate can comprise a first substrate and a second substrate and a plurality of weld lines can form a fluid tight seal for a cooling channel located therebetween.
LASER WELDING DEVICE AND LASER WELDING METHOD USING SAME
Laser welding device (1000) includes: laser oscillator (100); optical fiber (300) that transmits a laser beam (LB) generated in laser oscillator (100); laser beam emitting head (400) that is attached to the emission end of optical fiber (300) and emits laser beam (LB) toward workpiece (600); manipulator (500) with laser beam emitting head (400) attached thereto; and controller (200) that controls laser beam emitting head (400) so as to cause laser beam (LB) to be scanned three-dimensionally on the surface of workpiece (600). Controller (200) controls laser beam emitting head (400) so as to change a focal position of laser beam (LB) in accordance with a shape of a welded portion in workpiece (600).
STACKED ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A stacked aluminum electrolytic capacitor includes a lead frame, a capacitor set, and at least one laser welding area. The lead frame includes a positive electrode end and a negative electrode end spaced from the positive electrode end. The capacitor set includes a plurality of stacked capacitor elements each having a positive electrode portion electrically connected to the positive electrode end and a negative electrode portion electrically connected to the negative electrode end. The at least one laser welding area is configured by a laser source capable of emitting a laser beam to perform laser welding on the positive electrode end and the positive electrode portion to form a fusion connection therebetween.

Method Of Welding Vehicle Recliner Mechanisms
A method of laser welding a recliner assembly includes positioning a first component of a vehicle seat recliner mechanism with respect to a second component of the vehicle seat recliner mechanism. The method further includes retaining a position of the first component and the second component. Retaining includes forming a plurality of tack welds between the first component and the second component. The method further includes fixing the first component to the second component. Fixing includes forming a finishing weld between the first component and the second component by laser welding the first component to the second component.
Method for connecting two components and component composite
A method for connecting two components with the aid of a laser weld seam. The two components are situated one above the other in a joining area. The first component is pressed in the direction of the second component with the aid of a clamping device. A laser beam impacts the first component on the side facing away from the second component and at least indirectly fusing material of the two components.
