The electrode tab inserted into the hole and the plate are coupled to each other by a welding bead, and the welding bead has a width and a height defined by Equations 1 and 2, respectively.

LASER WELDING SYSTEM
20220395928 · 2022-12-15 · ·

A shift in position of a laser beam used for welding objects is corrected without need for intervention by a welder. An irradiator performs welding along a welding part of objects to be welded by relatively moving objects to be welded and a nozzle for emitting a laser beam. An arm apparatus movably holds the nozzle while applying a biasing force to the nozzle in a direction toward the welding part such that the nozzle comes into contact with objects to be welded to irradiate the welding part with the laser beam.

WELDING METHOD AND WELDING DEVICE FOR WELDING CONDUCTOR ENDS
20220395923 · 2022-12-15 ·

A welding method for welding grouped conductor ends of a component for an electrical machine by means of a welding device. In the method, a relative position of a first conductor end and a second conductor end of grouped conductor ends and then a first size parameter of a molten pool formed during welding are detected. Subsequently, a second size parameter of the molten pool formed during welding is detected. In a further method step, a value of the molten pool is determined from the first size parameter, the second size parameter and the relative position. Finally, a welding energy input is controlled depending on the determined value of the molten pool.

A fixture assembly for supporting a plurality of blanks during a shearing and welding operation. The fixture assembly includes a base frame. A rotating frame is rotatably connected to the base frame. A fixed block is fixed to the rotating frame for supporting a first blank. A moveable block is moveably connected to the rotating frame for supporting a second blank. A first clamp is provided for coupling the first blank to the fixed block. A second clamp is provided for coupling the second blank to the moveable block. A vertical actuator is coupled with the rotating frame and configured to move the moveable block in a vertical direction being perpendicular to a plane of the rotating frame for moving the second blank. A horizontal actuator is coupled with the rotating frame and configured to move the moveable block in a horizontal direction.

WELDING METHOD OF BATTERY COVER PLATE

A welding method of a battery cover plate includes: performing a first welding and performing a second welding. The first welding starts from an edge of one side of the cover plate, continuously welds a portion of a connecting seam between a shell and the cover plate, and ends at an edge of an opposite side. The second welding starts from an ending position of the first welding, continuously welds a remaining portion of the connecting seam, and ends at an initial position of the first welding, or, the second welding starts from the initial position of the first welding, continuously welds the remaining portion of the connecting seam, and ends at the ending position of the first welding.

Laser welding steel to ductile iron

A method of laser welding a steel substrate and a ductile iron substrate is disclosed along with a laser welded assembly that may be formed by practicing the disclosed method. The disclosed laser welding method involves forming a laser weld joint between the steel and ductile iron substrates. The laser weld joint includes a fusion zone comprised of austenite ferrous alloy that has a composition derived from intermixing molten portions of the steel and ductile iron substrates as part of the laser welding process. The austenite ferrous alloy that constitutes the fusion zone of the laser weld joint has a carbon content of 2 wt % or more and a nickel equivalent of 60% or more and can be achieved without preheating the steel and ductile iron substrates prior to welding or using a filler wire to introduce a foreign metal into the molten substrate material created by the laser beam.
