Fixture assembly for welding operations
A fixture assembly for supporting a plurality of blanks during a welding operation. The fixture assembly includes a frame. A plurality of electromagnets are positioned on the frame for supporting the blanks and for drawing the blanks toward the electromagnets to secure the blanks into a desired position. A plurality of intensifiers are moveably connected to the frame for selectively overlying the top face of one of the electromagnets for clamping the blank against the electromagnet to intensify a magnetic force provided by the electromagnet. A plurality of electromagnet adjusters are each coupled with the frame and with at least one of the electromagnets for moving the electromagnets relative to the frame. A plurality of adjusting pins are each connected to the frame and moveable relative to the frame for adjusting a position of the blanks.

CONNECTING A CELL STACK TO AT LEAST ONE CONTACT ELEMENT IN A VACUUM USING A LASER
A method for producing a component for storing electrical energy, said component comprising at least one cell stack for storing electrical energy and at least one contact element for making electrical contact with the at least one cell stack, has at least the following steps: a) arranging at least part of the at least one cell stack and the at least one contact element in a defined arrangement relative to one other in, or against a chamber that can be evacuated; b) evacuating at least some of the gas in the chamber; c) connecting the at least one cell stack and the at least one contact element together to form an electrically conductive connection by means of at least one laser beam introduced into the chamber.

VARIABLE GAGE BLANK
A variable gage blank is formed from a set of components joined by a joining process. The set of components include a web, a first flange, and a second flange. The components have respective thicknesses. The first flange and the second flange may be modified to include a transition region with a variable thickness that terminates on an edge having a thickness substantially similar to a thickness of the web.
Joint body, manufacturing method for joint body, and manufacturing apparatus for joint body
A joint body includes first and second metal members and a joint portion including a welded portion where the first and second metal members are joined together, the welded portion having a line shape. The joint portion includes first and second longitudinal portions and a plurality of connecting portions. The first longitudinal portion has first intersecting portions arranged in a first direction and extends in the first direction. The second longitudinal portion has second intersecting portions arranged in the first direction and extends in the first direction. The welded portion intersects itself at the first and second intersecting portions. The connecting portions are arranged in the first direction. The connecting portions extend in a first direction and connect the first and second longitudinal portions.

Method of fixing by welding an interface support on a profile of a vehicle seat slide
A method of welding a support on a slide profile, which comprises: a) providing a support having a wall with an inner face, and providing a profile having a wall with an outer face, b) positioning the interface support with the inner face of its wall against the outer face of the wall of the profile, c) creating a welding joint between the wall of the support and the wall of the profile by moving a laser beam relative to the wall of the profile, while keeping the laser beam in a position such that it successively passes through, from an emitting source: the wall of the profile, then the wall of the support, while remaining within the material of the wall of the support.
