Hybrid article, method for forming hybrid article and method for welding
A hybrid article is disclosed including a sintered coating disposed on and circumscribing the lateral surface of a core having a core material and a greater density than the sintered coating. The sintered coating includes more than about 95% up to about 99.5% of a first metallic particulate material including a first melting point, and from about 0.5% up to about 5% of a second metallic particulate material having a second melting point lower than the first melting point. A method for forming the hybrid article is disclosed including disposing the core in a die, introducing a slurry having the metallic particulate materials into a gap between the lateral surface and the die, and sintering the slurry. A method for welding a workpiece is disclosed including the hybrid article serving as a weld filler.
Copper-Phosphorus-Tin Brazing Wire and Preparation Method Thereof
The present disclosure provides a copper-phosphorus-tin brazing wire and a preparation method thereof, relates to the technical field of brazing materials. The copper-phosphorus-tin brazing wire is of a three-layer structure, the inner layer is Cu, the middle layer is Cu-14P alloy, and the outer layer is Sn, wherein the mass percentage of Sn is over 7%. The present disclosure solves the technical problems in the prior art that the copper-phosphorus-silver brazing filler metal is prone to produce defects such as pores and inclusions when brazing copper alloys, which leads to the decline of the mechanical properties of the joint, and simultaneously provides the preparation method of the copper-phosphorus-tin brazing wire, such that the technical problem that it is difficult to obtain copper-phosphorus-tin brazing wire with a wire diameter below 0.5 mm under the condition of high Sn content is solved.
Carbide-based hardfacing
One aspect of the disclosure provides an iron-based hardfacing layer which includes hard or wear resistant phases resulting at least in part from dissolution of silicon and/or boron carbide particles into a liquid iron-based metal during the fabrication process. In an embodiment, the hardfacing layer is formed by a fusion welding process in which carbide particles are added to the molten weld pool. In an example, the filler metal supplied to the welding process is a mild steel. In an embodiment, the hardness as measured at the surface of the hardfacing ranges from 40 to 65 HRC. In an example, the iron-based hardfacing layer also includes tungsten carbide particles.
Suppressors and their methods of manufacture
A suppressor having a body and a first connector half coupled to the body, wherein the first connector half includes a first component that includes at least one channel and a first surface; and wherein the body provides a second surface, wherein a gap between the first surface and the second surface defines at least one track; wherein the gun includes a second connector half comprising at least one protrusion, wherein the protrusion and channel have corresponding shapes that allow the protrusion to be inserted through the channel and into alignment with the track, wherein the first component may be rotated with respect to the protrusion and the body to bring the protrusion out of alignment with the channel so that the first and second surfaces clamp the protrusion to thereby secure the first connector half and second connector half with respect to each other.
Bonding wire for semiconductor device
The present invention provides a bonding wire capable of simultaneously satisfying ball bonding reliability and wedge bondability required of bonding wires for memories, the bonding wire including a core material containing one or more of Ga, In, and Sn for a total of 0.1 to 3.0 at % with a balance being made up of Ag and incidental impurities; and a coating layer formed over a surface of the core material, containing one or more of Pd and Pt, or Ag and one or more of Pd and Pt, with a balance being made up of incidental impurities, wherein the coating layer is 0.005 to 0.070 m in thickness.
FABRICATION OF HIGH-ENTROPY ALLOY WIRE AND MULTI-PRINCIPAL ELEMENT ALLOY WIRE
In various embodiments, metallic wires are fabricated by combining one or more powders of substantially spherical metal particles with one or more powders of non-spherical particles within one or more optional metallic tubes. The metal elements within the powders (and the one or more tubes, if present) collectively define a high entropy alloy of five or more metallic elements or a multi-principal element alloy of four or more metallic elements.
TIG TORCH FOR WELDING, SOLDERING OR COATING
A TIG torch for welding, soldering or coating, wherein an electrode is radially surrounded by an inner gas nozzle as far as the electrode tip. A first gas flow in the direction of a workpiece surface through a gap between the inner lateral surface of the inner gas nozzle and the lateral surface of the electrode. The inner gas nozzle is fastened to a sleeve-shaped inner gas nozzle carrier and is surrounded by an outer gas nozzle fixed to an outer gas nozzle carrier or an outer gas nozzle. A second gas flow in the direction of the workpiece surface between the radially outer lateral surface of the inner gas nozzle and the inner lateral surface of the outer gas nozzle. An electrically insulating element is arranged between the inner gas nozzle carrier, inner gas nozzle and/or electrode and the outer gas nozzle carrier and/or outer gas nozzle.
