A bolt setting method and device for a nail-shaped bolt with a head and a shaft, ending in a tapered manner. The bolt setting method includes: joining the bolt into a component with a deforming stroke during which the bolt reaches a first joining speed of ≤4 m/s and the shaft completely penetrates the components with a portion of a maximum diameter with respect to a shaft length, without a bottom side of the head abutting the at least one component, and after the deforming stroke, driving the bolt into the at least one component until a head abutment of the bottom side of the head on the at least one component by at least one friction stroke with which a frictional connection between the shaft and the components is overcome and with which the bolt reaches a second joining speed that is smaller than the first joining speed.

The assembly module includes a first assembly die, a second assembly die and at least one engagement die. The first assembly die has a plurality of first fitting portions. The second assembly die has a plurality of second fitting portions and corresponds in position to the first assembly die. The engagement die is removably disposed at a related point of at least one first fitting portion, at a related point of at least one second fitting portion or at related points of at least one first fitting portion and at least one second fitting portion. Therefore, the assembly module is effective in fitting a component and an assembly target together, easy to operate, and conducive to quick assembly.

The disclosure likewise relates to a method for screwing a locking ring comprising a fastening part and a tear-off part onto a threaded bolt, wherein a removal gripper grips the tear-off part and removes the tear-off part after the tear-off part has been torn off. The disclosure further relates to a screwing apparatus for executing a method according to the disclosure.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SETTING A CONNECTION ELEMENT ON A WORKPIECE
A device and the method serve to set a connecting element, in particular a press-in bolt, on a workpiece. By means of a setting unit, a hole punching operation for introducing a hole and, at the same time, a hole-forming operation are carried out, in which an edge of the hole is deep-drawn using an embossing sleeve and a collar is formed. In a second stage, the connecting element is pressed in, the punching and hole-forming operation and the pressing taking place within the same axial axis without the workpiece being laterally displaced relative to the device.
MACHINE TOOLING WITH A ROTARY PUNCH
A tooling system has means for applying a vacuum to hold the fastener at the working end of the tool. A cavity in a hollow pusher pin has lateral ports for exclusively providing a airway between the vacuum source and the fastener. In other embodiments of the invention the pusher pin has fastener-gripping jaws in the form of balls moveable within lateral passageways in the pusher pin open into the cavity. The balls are biased inwardly against the fastener by an outer elastic band on the tool body which encircles the pusher pin. When adapted for installing magnetic-release type fasteners, the bottom end of the pusher pin is of reduced diameter for insertion into a magnetic release fastener. The fastener-receiving panel is supported by an anvil having a magnet whereby the fastener is released from the pusher pin as the fastener is pressed into the panel.

In one embodiment, a parallel kinematic machine (PKM) (88) sequentially performs the operation, while another embodiment includes a nut ram assembly (112) that attaches clinch nuts (24) to the AHSS sheet (26), and a further embodiment includes a C frame (114) that supports the apparatus and is moved by a robot (130) to sequentially attach clinch nuts (24) to the AHSS sheet (26) at different locations. The attachment of the clinch nuts is performed in a light-safe manner.
