The machining station can include a table; at least three robots each having a multi-axis mover secured to the table, and a gripper opposite the table, the robots being interspaced from one another on the table; and a controller. The controller controls the robots to hold a workpiece in a coordinated manner. The computer numerical command (CNC) machine-tool system machines the workpiece while the workpiece is held by the robots. The workpiece can be moved into and out from the machining station with a trolley which slidingly engages a trolley path formed within the table.

Universal interchangeable plate system for tool head assemblies

A universal plate system for mounting tool heads and/or components on manufacturing machines includes a fixed plate assembly on the x-carriage of the manufacturing machine. A mobile plate assembly is configured to removably attach to the fixed plate assembly, to provide mechanical support and electrical connectivity to a tool head assembly mounted to the mobile plate assembly. The mobile plate assembly can be easily detached from the fixed plate assembly and replaced with a different mobile plate assembly having a different tool head assembly mounted thereon. Mating of the mobile plate assembly to the fixed plate assembly provides the mechanical and electrical connection between the manufacturing machine and the newly mounted tool head assembly, thus permitting quick changes of the tool head assembly to be made.

In the table independent mode, the movement of the table 5 is independently controlled, and in the table linkage mode, the feeding movements of two or more tables 5 are controlled in the same direction at the same speed and in the synchronous state as the same movement amount.

COMPOSITE MACHINING MACHINE AND COMPOSITE MACHINING METHOD

A composite machining machine includes a first machining head, a second machining head, a workpiece holder, a cover, and a frame. The first machining head is movable in a first region to perform additive manufacturing on the workpiece in a second region. The second machining head is movable in the second region to perform cutting on the workpiece. The workpiece holder holds the workpiece in the second region. The cover covers the first region. The frame includes two columns and a beam member coupling the columns. The cover includes a region definition member openable at least partially. The region definition member defines the second region. The first machining head is movable in a guided manner in a range between the columns. The beam member is disposed so that the predetermined range lies inside the first region, and outside and above the second region.

MACHINING CENTER

An upright machining center is characterized in being provided with: x-axis guides for moving and guiding a table in the left-right direction on a bed; a column provided on the bed and provided with an opening that straddles the x-axis guides in the front-back direction so that a moving body, on which the table is provided, can enter therein in the left-right direction; a saddle, which is disposed on the upper part of the column so as to be movable in the front-back direction and for which a first y-axis guide that extends in the front-back direction on the right side of the left-right direction and a left second y-axis guide that is located lower and parallel thereto are provided; and a main shaft head, which is disposed on the left side surface of the saddle and moves in the vertical direction.

A manufacturing system including a base and multiple work machine modules that are arranged in an arrangement direction on base to be attachable to and detachable from base, in which one wheel of a pair provided on work machine module is engaged with one rail of a pair provided on base in a state in which positional deviation in the arrangement direction is prohibited, and the other wheel of the pair is engaged with the other rail of the pair in a state in which positional deviation is permitted in the arrangement direction, thereby the position of work machine modules on the base in the arrangement direction is specified, and work machine modules are fixed at a setting position on the base to be restricted so as to be drawn toward the base by a module fixing mechanism that is provided on the base.
