Machine tool
A machine tool includes: a spindle that allows a tool to be detachably mounted thereon; a tool changing device that holds a plurality of the tools, and attaches and detaches any of the tools to and from the spindle; a date and time storage unit that stores date and time when operation of the spindle is stopped last; and a calculation unit that calculates unused time of the spindle on the basis of the date and time stored in the date and time storage unit, when the tool is to be detached from the spindle, wherein in a case where the unused time calculated by the calculation unit is longer than a predetermined threshold value, the tool changing device performs detaching motion of the tool from the spindle for longer time compared to a case where the calculated unused time is at or less than the threshold value.
TOOL UNIT AND SWITCHABLE TOOL SYSTEM FOR A TOOL UNIT
A tool unit includes a tool head, a motor and a switching drive for the head. The head has a first section with first blades and a second section with second blades. The second section is movable to and fro between a passive and an active position relative to the first section, the second blades being retracted in the passive position, and the second blades projecting axially beyond the first blades in the active position. The drive includes an electromagnet and an actuating armature made from magnetically attractable material and is arranged in the region of action of the electromagnet. The electromagnet is positioned between the head and the motor and is fastened to a housing part of the motor such that it cannot be rotated. The armature is connected fixedly to the second section. A gap remains between the electromagnet and the armature in the passive and active position.
Rotary-magazine tool changer capable of changing tool storage position
A tool changer for a machine tool is provided with a command unit for outputting a change command for a tool storage position to a control unit, which turns a tool magazine with a tool mounted on a spindle and controls an index unit to index a predetermined tool grip portion to a tool change position on receiving the change command for the tool storage position from the command unit.
Horizontal multi-spindle machining center
The present invention relates to a machining center, and more specifically to a horizontal multi-spindle machining center, in which 2-axis (Y- and Z-axis) or 3-axis (X-, Y- and Z-axis) transfer drive units are disposed in the machining center installed to machine workpieces, in which a ram equipped with spindles is moved in the up-down, front-back, and/or left-right directions of the workpieces, in which the spindles are configured to include a plurality of spindles, i.e., 2 to 8 spindles, so that a plurality of workpieces may be machined simultaneously, and in which tool change is simultaneously performed for tools fastened to the plurality of spindles and configured to machine workpieces by using an auto tool changer (ATC), so that tool change speed may be improved and thus manufacturing efficiency may be improved.
Tool changer with cover means
A tool changer comprises a turret with a plurality of grips for holding tools such that the turret is turned to index a desired tool to change the tools. The front and rear surfaces of the turret are covered by front and rear covers, respectively. A projection or a recess which defines a passage for cutting fluid is formed in an outer rear surface portion of the rear cover at portions above and/or on each lateral side of a turret mechanism portion.
Method of detecting origin point of machine tool and tool magazine
A machine tool includes a tool magazine configured to hold a plurality of tools, the tool magazine having a rotary unit rotatable around a predetermined rotary axis and a measured portion provided in the rotary unit, a sensor disposed outside of the rotary unit in a radial direction that is perpendicular to the rotary axis, and configured to detect the measured portion, and a controller configured to detect a position of an origin point of the rotary unit based on a result of the detection by the sensor.
Machine tool
A machine tool includes a spindle configured to hold a tool, a tool magazine configured to hold a plurality of tools and to exchange the tools with the spindle, and a cleaning mechanism configured to remove adhering objects adhered to the tool magazine by spraying fluid to the tool magazine.
Nozzle changer, system, and related method
Disclosed herein is a system that includes a placement head, the placement head including a spindle assembly, the spindle assembly including a spindle capable of receiving one of a plurality of nozzles for attachment. The system includes a nozzle changer, the nozzle changer including a revolver capable of holding a plurality of nozzles. A position of the nozzle changer is changeable in response to movement of the spindle assembly. Further disclosed is a method of receiving and attaching nozzles with a nozzle changer.
AUTOMATIC TOOL CHANGER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR AND MACHINE TOOL INCLUDING SAME
The present disclosure relates to an automatic tool changer for a machine tool which can change a tool mounted on a tool post by moving both of a magazine and a tool post to be concentric in order to change a tool in a horizontal type machine tool such as a lathe or a horizontal type turning center; a method of controlling the automatic tool changer and a machine tool including the automatic tool changer.
MACHINE TOOL
The present invention includes a tool magazine (10) storing a plurality of tools (T), a turret (3) to which a plurality of tools (T) are attached, and a tool changer (20) changing a tool (T) attached to the turret (3) for a tool (T) stored in the tool magazine (10). The tool changer (20) has two tool grippers for gripping tools (T) and replaces tools (T) attached to the turret (3) with one another using the two tool grippers based on tool information stored in a tool information storage (43) under control by a tool change control unit (42).
