Mill liner installation

The present disclosure relates to a method for use in installation of a mill liner, the method including (a) retaining a mounting bolt at least partially within a liner opening extending through the mill liner, (b) positioning the mill liner against a mill shell so that the retained mounting bolt is aligned with a mill shell opening extending through the mill shell, (c) selectively coupling an extraction tool to the mounting bolt, the coupling performed by an operator outside of the mill shell, (d) detaching the mounting bolt from the liner using the extraction tool; (e) pulling the mounting bolt through the mill shell opening so that at least a portion of the mounting bolt protrudes outside of the mill shell, and, (e) securing a fastener onto the mounting bolt to thereby attach the mill liner to the mill.

Ribbon needle loom
11149364 · 2021-10-19 · ·

In order to improve the design of a ribbon needle loom for applications in which the woven material (9) shall have a variable width, it is proposed to arrange the weft needle (10, 16) and also the knitting needle (10b, 16b) serving to knit the weft thread (14, 15) at the side directed away from the weft insertion onto a common, displaceable carrier (10c, 16c). As a further improvement, in order to be able to produce symmetrical woven material (9) with such a ribbon needle loom, a bilateral weft-insertion is proposed, wherein the two weft needles (10, 16) and the two knitting needles (10b, 16b) by means of which the respective weft thread (14, 15) is knitted at the side directed away from the weft insertion are each disposed on a common, displaceable carrier (10c, 16c). Advantageously, the carriers (10c, 16c) do not hinder each other upon displacement, but rather are arranged on top of each other.

Wedge anchor removal device

A wedge anchor removal device. The wedge anchor removal device has an elongated cylindrical body. The elongated cylindrical body includes a bore centrally defined therein. The bore is sized to receive a rod. The rod has a first end disposed opposite a second end. The first end has a threaded interface. The threaded interface is configured to engage an anchor bolt. A nut is disposed on the second end of the rod.

Installation tool assembly, a tooling assembly for a workpiece, and a method

An installation tool assembly includes a workpiece and a tool. The workpiece includes a first wall having an aperture and a second wall spaced from the first wall relative to a first axis to present an access point therebetween. The installation tool assembly includes a fastener disposed in the aperture of the first wall at an initial position. The fastener includes a hole and a fastener locking feature disposed inside the hole. The tool includes a tool locking feature that is configured to engage the fastener locking feature to secure together the fastener and the tool in the initial position. The tool is operable to pull the fastener farther through the aperture into an interference fit with the first wall in an installed position. A tooling assembly includes the tool and the fastener. A method of installing the fastener to the workpiece uses the tool.

SELF-RETAINING SCREWDRIVER WITH ENGAGING TIP FEATURE

A screwdriver assembly includes a screwdriver shaft and an insert. The screwdriver shaft extends longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and having a longitudinal channel extending therethrough. The insert has a longitudinal shaft received within the longitudinal channel and a distal end extending distally relative to the distal end of the screwdriver shaft. The insert shaft is rotatable relative to the screwdriver shaft. The distal end of the insert is sized and shaped to engage a head of a screw. The distal end of the insert is disengaged from the screw bead by rotating the insert relative to the screwdriver shaft.

HEADLESS COMPRESSION SCREW DRIVER SYSTEM
20210045789 · 2021-02-18 ·

A compression screw driver system including a drive member having a shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal end. A drive selection member is positioned about the shaft and is axially moveable along the shaft between an engagement position and a disengaged position. A distal portion of the drive selection member defines a first engagement structure. A compression sleeve is positioned over the distal end of the shaft. The proximal end of the compression sleeve defines a second engagement structure which complements the first engagement structure and the distal end of the compression sleeve defines a contact surface. In the engagement position the first and second engagement structures are engaged and the compression sleeve rotates with the drive member and in the disengaged position the first and second engagement structures are disengaged and the compression sleeve remains stationary while the drive member rotates.
