20210069878 · 2021-03-11 · ·

An electronic torque wrench with a battery receptacle adapted to receive either a unitary battery pack or a battery tray containing separate batteries inside. The battery tray can receive conventional batteries such as AA, AAA, C, D or 9-volt sized batteries, and the battery tray and unitary battery can be constructed of a similar geometry to fit within the battery receptacle. The battery tray and unitary pack can include an outwardly-extending protrusion that is received within a groove of the battery receptacle. In this manner, only the specially-designed battery tray and pack are capable of coupling with the receptacle.

WRENCH DEVICE, AND A METHOD OF AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTING TORQUE FOR A FASTENER OF A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT

A wrench device includes a data receiving component configured to receive, from a transceiver associated with a piece of equipment, information related to a fastener included in the piece of equipment, and a torque value corresponding to the fastener. The wrench device further includes an image sensor configured to capture an image of the fastener, a processor, and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The memory stores processor-executable instructions, which, on execution, cause the processor to receive the image of the fastener from the image sensor, receive the information related to the fastener from the data receiving component, identify the fastener by correlating the received image with the information related to the fastener, extract the torque value corresponding to the fastener based on the information upon identification of the fastener, and adjust a torque of the fastener based on the extracted torque value.

ELECTRIC SCREWDRIVER WITH TORQUE ADJUSTMENT AND SENSING FUNCTION
20210031341 · 2021-02-04 ·

This invention provides an electric screwdriver with an integrated torque adjustment and sensing function, comprising a torque sensor connected between an electric motor and a torque adjuster. The torque sensor comprises a transmission shaft connected to the motor shaft by the shaft, a torque sensing component and at least one planetary gear set. The planetary gear set has a torque output component. The transmission shaft transmits the speed reduced rotational force through the torque output component to drive the output shaft to output a target torque which can be adjusted by the adjuster. The torque sensing component senses the operating torque between the transmission shaft and the torque output component of the torque sensor, thereby assembling to improve the problem that the conventional electric screwdriver can only adjust but cannot accurately sense the operating torque.

TORQUE WRENCH EVALUATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
20210023685 · 2021-01-28 · ·

A method for evaluating a condition of a torque wrench includes connecting the torque wrench to an adapter, detecting a click point, where a click mechanism of the torque wrench is decoupled from a first position into a second position, and measuring a click torque value at the click point, detecting a peak point and measuring a peak torque value at the peak point, detecting a release point, where the click mechanism is moving back from the second position into the first position, and measuring a release torque value at the release point, determining that the evaluation was performed correctly if the click point, the peak point and the release point were detected.

RELEASE MECHANISM FOR A TORQUE TOOL

A release mechanism for an electronically triggered torque tool to tighten a screw or a similar fastener triggers at a target torque. The release mechanism comprises a drive body and a main body, which rotate around a common axis to transfer a torque. A locking mechanism couples the drive body and the main body to transfer a torque. Measuring and evaluating means to measure and evaluate the torque transferred are provided, whereby a signaling device activates the locking mechanism to decouple the drive body from the main body upon reaching a target torque.

TORQUE WRENCH

A torque wrench includes a main body, a driving portion, a torque-disengageable mechanism, a torque assembly and an adjusting assembly. The main body defines an axial direction and includes a handle and a tubular member which are assembled with each other. The handle has an opening which is open radially. The torque-disengageable mechanism is swingably disposed within the tubular member. The torque assembly is disposed in the main body. The adjusting assembly includes a position-limiting member, a slidable assembly and an adjusting member. The adjusting member is rotatably connected to the handle and corresponding to the opening. The adjusting member has a first threaded portion. The slidable assembly has a second threaded portion screwed with the first threaded portion.

WIRELESS TORQUE WRENCH WITH TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

An interactive software application on a mobile computing device is used to configure an electronic torque wrench via a wireless connection. The software application obtains torque specifications for a vehicle from a remote database. When the torque specification require that work pieces be torqued in an ordered sequence, the software application guides the technician through the sequence, but accommodates changes when the technician departs from the sequence.

A rotating power tool is provided. The rotating power tool may include a bevel gear set having a bevel gear and a conductive spiral disposed on the bevel gear. The conductive spiral may be configured to, in response to the bevel gear deforming due to a torque being applied to the bevel gear, change a resistance of the conductive spiral. The rotating power tool may further include an antenna electrically connected to the conductive spiral. The antenna may be configured to emit an output signal at a frequency that is based on the resistance value of the conductive spiral. The frequency of the output signal may be indicative of an amount of torque being applied to the bevel gear.

Tilt compensated torque-angle wrench
10836020 · 2020-11-17 · ·

A method of determining an actual amount of torque and/or angle applied to a work piece by a tool. In an embodiment, the method includes determining a rotational angle, a tilt of the tool, and a measured torque of the tool. The actual amount of torque or angle applied to the work piece is then determined based on the rotational angle, the tilt, and the measured torque.

Electronic torque wrench with sensing structure

An electronic torque wrench with sensing structure includes a tubular body, a working head and at least one sensing element. The working head includes a head section and a connection section secured in the front end of the tubular body. The head section is positioned at the front end of the tubular body. The sensing element is disposed on an outer circumference of the tubular body. Accordingly, the length of the connection section of the working head is greatly shortened and the internal structure of the tubular body is simplified to lower the material cost and manufacturing cost. In addition, the weight of the torque wrench is reduced and the sensing precision of the sensing element is enhanced, whereby a user can more easily hold the torque wrench and more smoothly use the torque wrench to enhance the whole benefit of the torque wrench.
