SPRING COMPRESSION APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to compression apparatus and compression systems, and related components and methods, for manufacturing and servicing operations. In one or more embodiments, a compression apparatus for vehicle subframes includes a first block, a second block spaced from the first block, a first connector extending between the first block and the second block, and a second connector extending between the first block and the second block. The compressions apparatus includes a drive assembly extending through the second block. The drive assembly includes a drive shaft comprising a head section, a threaded section, and an end section, the threaded section disposed between the head section and the end section. The drive assembly includes a drive cap coupled to the drive shaft.
Ergonomic front fork service tool
An ergonomic front fork service tool for servicing front fork tubes of a motorcycle includes a long threaded screw engaged in a threaded housing with a swivel foot at the bottom end and a large hand knob at the top end. The threaded housing is attached to a swinging arm attached to a vertical rod support. A base bar has a hollow tube attached at a right angle a distance away from its distal end, which receives and supports the vertical rod while permitting both swinging of the arm and vertical adjustment. The position between the rod and tube is locked by fasteners threaded transversally in the top wall of the tube. A portion of the base bar is used to support the service tool in a bench vise, or to fasten to a work bench, and two swinging gate clamps engage two front fork tubes and rigidly attach them during service to the bench top vertically.
SPRING COMPRESSOR FOR AN AIRGUN
A spring compressor for compressing a power spring of an air gun within a compression tube of the air gun includes a beam that extends along a longitudinal axis between a first end and a second end. The beam includes a pair of opposing clamp surfaces for engaging a picatinny style accessory rail. A clamp system disposed adjacent the first end of the beam. The clamp system is operable to directly engage the accessory rail in clamping engagement. A compressor includes a rod in threaded engagement with a post, which is mounted adjacent the second end of the beam. Rotation of the threaded rod relative to the post moves the threaded rod axially along the longitudinal axis relative to the beam.
Mainspring Disassembly Tool For Pistols
A mainspring disassembly tool for M1911-style semiautomatic pistol mainspring housings is disclosed, allowing the compression of the mainspring (a.k.a. hammer spring) to be easily and safely released and the retaining pin removed without the use of a bench vise. The mainspring disassembly tool is compact, and can be used with one hand, leaving the other hand free to remove or insert the retaining pin, making it suitable for use in the field. Disassembly, removal, installation, and reassembly of the mainspring from the mainspring housing can all be accomplished readily with only two hands.
CLAMPING DEVICE FOR TWO WORKPIECES
This invention introduces a two-workpiece clamping device. The arrangement of a first driving mechanism on the first body facilitates the vertical movement of the second body. This movement drives a first clamping block to descend into position, clamping the first workpiece with the first slot and simultaneously driving a second clamping block to descend into position to clamp the second workpiece with the second slot. The setup of the second driving mechanism, as well as the first blocking part on the first clamping block and the second blocking part on the second clamping block, makes it efficient to drive the second clamping block closer to the first clamping block, effectively clamping the first and second workpieces together.
