An improved tool for installing an explosively driven fastener as well as an improved explosively driven fastener for use therewith are disclosed. The fastener includes a nail having a head with an explosive load attached thereto in a plastic cap that includes a buffer. The tool has a plurality of concentric cylinders and springs including a muzzle for receiving the fastener head and explosive load. A spring actuated firing pin ignites the load causing it to explode and drive the nail out of the tool. The explosion also automatically resets the tool. The tool and the fastener provide many advantages over existing explosively driven fasteners and the tools used to install them.

A device for measuring absorbent bodies that are spaced from each other on a continuous web comprises at least two microwave resonators configured to measure values of a shift of a resonance frequency and a spreading of a resonance frequency. The continuous web moves through the at least two microwave resonators and the at least two microwave resonators are positioned at an offset with respect to each other in the transverse and transport direction relative to a direction of transport of the continuous web in order to measure the entire width of the continuous web. At least one of a moisture and a density of the absorbent bodies is determined using the at least two microwave resonators to continuously determine the values of the shift of the resonance frequency and the spreading of the resonance frequency.

NOSEPIECE ASSEMBLY WITH A PASSAGE FOR EJECTING DEBRIS

A nosepiece assembly includes a first nosepiece portion including a fastener guide. The fastener guide has a support ledge to position a first fastener of a collated strip of fasteners in a drive channel. The nosepiece assembly also includes a second nosepiece portion connected to the first nosepiece portion opposite to the fastener guide with the first and second nosepiece portions defining the drive channel therebetween and defining a debris ejection passage therebetween. The debris ejection passage extends between the drive channel and a debris ejection aperture on an exterior surface of the nosepiece assembly.

NOSEPIECE ASSEMBLY WITH A HEAD SPRING FOR USE IN A POWERED NAILER

A nosepiece assembly for use in a powered nailer includes an outer portion defining an outer side of a drive channel. The drive channel is operable to receive a first nail of a collated strip of nails and guide the first nail out of the nosepiece assembly when the first nail is driven into a workpiece. The nosepiece assembly also includes a magazine-coupling portion coupled to the outer portion. The magazine-coupling portion includes a magazine connector and a spring. The magazine connector is coupleable to a magazine assembly to feed the collated strip of nails along a nail guide toward the drive channel and the spring is positioned adjacent to, but outside, the drive channel to bias at least one nail of the collated strip of nails into a seated position against a surface of the nail guide.

NAIL BLOCKING MEMBER FOR NAIL GUN
20190329391 · 2019-10-31 ·

A nail blocking member for nail gun is provided. The nail gun includes a firing portion for firing a nail. When an object is pressed upon the nail blocking member by the firing portion, the nail is fired by the firing portion to enter the object. The nail blocking member includes a main body having a contact face, with a formation groove concavely disposed on the contact face, and a guiding block convexly disposed in the formation groove. An object is pressed upon the contact face by the firing portion, and a nail is fired by the firing portion to enter the object to hit the guiding block, such that the nail is guided by the guiding block to move toward the formation groove, so as to be bent along the formation groove and reversely folded back into the object.

Holder

A holder for attaching a line to a support structure includes a fastening section, a side-part section, a closure section, and an engagement section. The fastening section has a perforation for passage of a fastening element and the fastening section has a receptacle for receiving a nose of a fastening tool.

A nail gun includes a power module, a magazine module and a detection module. The power module performs a nail-driving operation by receiving a first pressure, and is prevented from receiving the first pressure when the power module is subjected to a second pressure. The detection module includes a valve rod and a detection member operable to pivot between an unsealing position and a sealing position. The detection member is moved to the sealing position when the number of the nails in the magazine module is less than a predetermined amount.

Pull-out tester for a setting tool

The invention relates to a pull-out tester (1) for a setting tool used for setting a setting bolt (3), comprising a retaining part (4) for holding the setting bolt (3), an elastic element (7), at least one means (9) for transmitting a pull-out force acting on the setting bolt (3) onto the elastic element (7) such that if a pull-out testing force acting on the setting bolt (3) is exceeded, the connection between the setting bolt (3) and the pull-out tester (1) can be detached due to a deformation of the elastic element (7). The problem addressed by the invention is that of being able to provide a substantially constant pull-out testing force, even in different temperatures and with a different pull-out speed of the pull-out tester (1). The problem is solved in that the force transmitted to the elastic element (7) in order to deform the elastic element (7) substantially causes an elastic deformation of the elastic element (7) and the connection between the setting bolt (3) and the pull-out tester (1) can be detached due to the substantially elastic deformation of the elastic element (7).

Powered nail driver with a nail placement assembly

A replaceable positioning tip can be removably fixedly coupled to a distal end of the trip arm. The positioning tip can define a tip nail guide groove having a proximal portion extending at a first angle substantially parallel to a nail driver axis and a distal end tapering at a second angle. The tapered distal end can be encompassed by a thin-walled portion. A nail tip lifter can be coupled to the rear nail guide housing for pivotable movement between a first position adjacent the positioning tip and a second position away from the positioning tip. The nail tip lifter can define a lifter nail guide groove extending from its inception at a proximal end to a distal end. A biasing member can be positioned between the rear nail guide housing and the nail tip lifter to bias the nail tip lifter toward the first position.
