Smart stapling device

The present disclosure discloses a stapling device, comprising an activation unit configured to sense at least one of a movement of the stapling device, a position of a switch or a signal from a timer. There is a detection unit that is activated based on a signal from the activation unit to generate an input data. The stapling device further comprises a processing unit to determine number of pins in the stapling device, by comparing the input data with a pre-configured data and a display unit interfaced with the processing unit, to indicate status of the pins in the stapling device, wherein the status is based on the determined number of pins in the stapling device. Thus the stapling device of the present disclosure identifies the exhaustion of pins and accordingly enables timely replenishment of the stapling device with pins.

A stapler includes a staple striking-out unit, a staple leg bending unit, and a connector that connects the staple striking-out unit and the staple leg bending unit. The staple leg bending unit includes a clincher having a guide surface for bending the staple legs, and a clincher guide having a sandwiching portion. The clincher guide is configured to move in a first direction to displace a distance between the guide surface and the sandwiching portion. The clincher is capable of being located at a lower end position where the guide surface is farthest from the sandwiching portion in the first direction. The lower end position is a position where a tip ends of the staple legs are in contact with the guide surface and a gap is formed between an upper surface of the sheet sandwiched by the sandwiching portion and a staple shoulder portion of the staple.

Flat clinch anvil assembly
09987734 · 2018-06-05 · ·

A flat clinch assembly fits upon or within a base of a stapling device. The assembly preferably includes a slot with extended resiliently biased arms or toggles, where a rest position has the arms at or near a level of a working surface. An ejecting staple deflects and energizes the arms to cause the arms to rotate and create a clearance recess whereby points of the staple legs slide inward along the anvil. A restorative bias acting on the arms causes the arms to rebound to a rest position and to bend the legs upward. The legs thereby are normally pressed flat against the back sheet of a paper stack at the working surface. The arms or toggles are lightweight whereby the inertia of a fast-moving staple moves the arms or toggles. The toggle may include an upward facing staple leg guide channel.

A stapler includes a base, a handle pivotably connected to the base, and a magazine unit having a channel body which is pivotably attached to the base, a magazine body which is coaxially disposed to and movable relative to the channel body in a lengthwise direction, and a magazine ejection spring disposed to bias the magazine track to make an ejection movement. The magazine unit further has a damping module disposed on the magazine track and having two spring-biased damping members which are movable relative to the magazine track to be slidably moved on and frictionally engaged with inner wall surfaces of two outer lateral wails of the channel body so as to retard the ejection movement of the magazine track.
