CUTTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CUTTING SUBSTRATE USING THE SAME
A cutting device includes an upper cutting portion and a lower cutting portion. The upper cutting portion includes an upper head portion movable in a first and a second direction, an upper holder connected to the upper head portion, and an upper cutting wheel connected to the upper holder. The upper holder includes an upper body portion connected to the upper head portion, an upper cutting wheel fixing portion rotatable with respect to the upper body portion, and an upper magnetic portion disposed on sides of the upper cutting wheel fixing portion including a magnetic substance. The lower cutting portion includes a lower head portion movable in the first and the second direction, a lower holder connected to the lower head portion, a lower cutting wheel connected to the lower holder, and an upper holder rotation inducing portion connected to the lower head portion including a magnetic substance.
Cutting apparatus and printing apparatus
A cutting apparatus comprising: a cutting unit including a first blade member and a second blade member that cooperates with the first blade member in cutting an object, configured to cut the object by relatively moving the object and at least one of the first blade member and the second blade member to each other to cut the object; and a changing unit configured to change a pressing force between the first blade member and the second blade member during an operation of cutting the object; wherein the changing unit sets the pressing force during the initial cutting operation from a time when cutting of the object is started until the object has been cut by a predetermined length higher than the pressing force during the subsequent cutting operation.
Printing apparatus, control method, and storage medium
There is provided with printing apparatus. A printing unit prints an image on a printing medium and is able to move. A cutter unit is able to connect with or separate from the printing unit, and, by following a movement of the printing unit, cuts the printing medium. A control unit, in a case where a predetermined condition is satisfied after the printing medium is cut by the cutter unit, causes the printing unit to perform printing on a succeeding printing medium, while moving the printing unit in a state in which the cutter unit is connected with the printing unit.
Method for making improved composite materials
A strip of curable prepreg comprising unidirectional fibers aligned with the length of the strip, the fibers being at least partially impregnated with curable thermosetting resin and comprising a flexible polymeric sheet on an outer face of the strip, wherein the strip has a substantially rectangular cross-section defining a width and a thickness of the strip.
Apparatus for dry lubrication of a thin slitting blade
A block of a solid lubricant material, such as PTFE, is biased continuously or intermittently against the cutting edge of a rotary slitting blade for corrugated paperboard. The solid lubricant block prevents the build up of starch adhesive and biasing movement compensates for wear of the block and wear of the cutting blade edge.
Apparatus for processing flat objects
The apparatus for processing flat objects includes a transport system with several rotatably mounted conveyor rollers, the flat objects transportable in the direction of transport, and at least one releasably mounted tool module releasably coupled to only one drive shaft or to a lower and an upper rotatably mounted drive shaft; is supported displaceable along the only one drive shaft or the lower and the upper drive shaft; and is equipped with tool parts for processing the flat objects, of which at least one is drivable by the lower or the upper drive shaft. The tool module is supported by a tool carrier which is displaceable by means of a rotatably mounted setting shaft in parallel to the only one drive shaft and to the lower and the upper drive shafts, and which tool carrier has at least one holding element which serves for releasably holding the tool module.
WINDING MACHINE WITH DEVICE FOR CALCULATING THE POISSON'S RATIO AND RELATED METHOD
The machine (1; 1OO) comprises a winding station (3; 101), adapted to receive secondary winding cores (T) coaxial with, and adjacent to, one another. The machine further comprises a cutting device (11; 104) with a plurality of blades (13; 105), arranged upstream of the winding station (3; 101) with respect to the feeding direction of the web material (N) and adapted to slit the web material into a plurality of strips (S1-S5) of web material. An in-line measurement arrangement (81-87) is also provided for measuring the Poisson's ratio of the web material (N).
CUTTER ASSEMBLY AND PRINTER
A cutter assembly for a printer includes a cutter module including a rotary cutting blade and a gear associated with the rotary cutting blade, wherein rotation of the gear is transmitted to the rotary cutting blade to drive the rotary cutting blade, a toothed belt extending along a cutting direction and arranged to engage with the gear; and a support component extending along the cutting direction and comprising a ledge to support and guide the toothed belt.
UPPER BLADE ROLLER, SLITTING DEVICE, SLITTING METHOD, AND LAMINATED TAPE
A laminated film including an adhesive layer peelably laminated on a base film is shear cut using an upper roller including specific upper blades arranged at a pitch of 0.5 mm or less for slitting. The upper blade includes one side surface constituting a blade edge being a flat surface and the other side surface having a first ridge and a second ridge from the blade edge aide. A laminated tape including an adhesive layer peelably laminated on a base film is slit by slitting using this upper blade to a tape width of 0.5 mm or less without the base film and the adhesive layer peeling apart and with suppressed protrusion of the adhesive layer in the slit tape.
