Conveyor Module Having Magnetically and X-Ray Detectable Fragments
A conveyer module, small fragments of which are detectable by X-ray and magnetic sensors, is formed from a compounded mixture of a polyketone, stainless steel powder, and barium sulfate powder. The thermoplastic polymer comprises a polyketone constituting less than 95.5% by weight of the mixture. The stainless steel constitutes at least 0.5% by weight of the mixture, and the barium sulfate constitutes at least 4% or more by weight of the mixture.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A POLYESTER FILM
A method for producing a polyester film is provided. The method includes a resin alloy master batch preparation step and a film forming step. The resin alloy master batch preparation step includes melting and kneading a high temperature resistant resin material and a polyester resin material with a twin-screw granulator, and then forming a plurality of resin alloy master batches. In the resin alloy master batch preparation step, a twin-screw temperature of the twin-screw granulator is between 250° C. and 320° C., and a twin-screw rotation speed of the twin-screw granulator is between 300 rpm and 800 rpm. The film forming step includes melting and extruding the resin alloy master batches with to form a polyester film. The polyester film includes a heat resistant layer formed of the plurality of resin alloy master batches so that the heat resistant layer includes the high temperature resistant resin material and the polyester resin material.
Apparatus, method and computer program product for screw configuration inference
The apparatus of the invention includes: an acquisition unit 101 that acquires input information including resin properties and acquires, as output information, a specified value of a physical quantity related to a kneaded resin or a kneading machine; a storage unit 16 that stores a knowledge file 162 containing correlations among the input information, the physical quantity and a plurality of screw configurations; and a search unit 106 and a configuration generator unit 107 together that infers, on the basis of the input information and the knowledge file 162, such a screw configuration that is able to meet the specified value.
Extruder with planetary roller section for cooling melts
Various measures increase the cooling effect on a planetary roller extruder section/module. Those measures include a choke being arranged at an outlet of the planetary roller extruder section or module, a distance between centerlines of adjacent planetary spindles being at least equal to an outer diameter of the planetary spindles, providing a pressurized melt supply, having a cooling section composed of several sections/modules, providing at least one section/module in which a flow, during melt supply is converse to the conveying direction of the extruder, and providing cooling tubes arranged within the central spindle.

Guayule latex extrusion
A latex processing system and method involves mixing a latex and at least one solvent blend in an extruder, in order to remove resin found in the latex and to coagulate the latex to form a coagulum. The at least one solvent blend has a first solvent configured to coagulate the latex, and a second solvent configured to swell the resulting coagulum. In particular, a series of the solvent blends may be used at different locations along a length of the extruder, and may further include distinct blends of the first solvent and the second solvent, introduced at the different locations, and having different ratios of the first solvent and the second solvent.
Methods of producing bonded magnet and compound for bonded magnets
Included is a method of preparing a compound for bonded magnets, the method including: coating a magnetic material having an average particle size of 10 μm or less with a thermosetting resin and a curing agent at a ratio of the equivalent weight of the curing agent to the equivalent weight of the thermosetting resin of 2 or higher and 10 or lower to obtain a coated material; granulating the coated material by compression to obtain a granulated product; milling the granulated product to obtain a milled product; and surface treating the milled product with a silane coupling agent to obtain a compound for bonded magnets, the method either including, between the granulation and the milling, heat curing the granulated product to obtain a cured product, or including, between the milling and the surface treatment, heat curing the milled product to obtain a cured product.
Polybutylene Terephthalate With Low THF Content
The invention relates to injection molded parts, preferably injection molded parts in the form of automotive interior parts, having a low TVOC content and a low tetrahydrofuran content based on polybutylene terephthalate synthesized from butanediol and terephthalic acid, compounded in a compounder under vacuum and subsequently processed by injection molding, wherein TVOC stands for “Total Volatile Organic Compounds”.
