Method for producing thermoplastic resin composition, thermoplastic resin composition and copier/printer exterior part

A method for producing a thermoplastic resin composition includes melt-blending 50 to 80 parts by mass of a crystalline polyester resin and 20 to 50 parts by mass of an amorphous polyester resin with an extruder, thereby producing a first polyester resin compound. The method further includes melt-blending 90 to 99 parts by mass of the crystalline polyester resin and 1 to 10 parts by mass of a styrene-acrylonitrile-glycidyl methacrylate terpolymer with the extruder or a different extruder, thereby producing a second polyester resin compound. The method further includes compounding 1 to 10 parts by mass of the first polyester resin compound, 1 to 10 parts by mass of the second polyester resin compound, and respective predetermined amounts of a polycarbonate resin, a flame retardant, an antidrip agent, an antioxidant, a lubricant and a toughening agent.

An installation for producing a polymer melt for a porous film, in particular for a membrane film, comprises a planetary roller extruder. Said extruder is used to produce a flowable polymer melt from thermoplastics. The planetary roller extruder has a filling opening and a discharge side for delivering the polymer melt. A melt pump is further provided. The discharge side of the planetary roller extruder is connected to a downstream inlet side of the melt pump for further conveying the polymer melt. The connection is in the form of a pressure channel shielded from the ambient atmosphere or a pressure line shielded from the ambient atmosphere. The planetary roller extruder and the melt pump are designed and/or can be driven in such a manner that the polymer melt is applied or can be transferred under pressure at the melt pump on the inlet side.

Composition for Preparing Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives

The intention is to provide a thermally crosslinkable, polyacrylate-based composition which can be processed from the melt and is distinguished by long pot life and by rapid and complete or near-complete crosslinkability even at relatively low temperatures, which can be processed to a pressure-sensitive adhesive. This aim is accomplished with a composition which comprises a) at least one crosslinkable poly(meth)acrylate; b) at least one organosilane conforming to the formula (1)


R.sup.1Si(OR.sup.2).sub.nR.sup.3.sub.m(1), in which R.sup.1 is a radical containing a cyclic ether function, the radicals R.sup.2 independently of one another are each an alkyl or acyl radical, R.sup.3 is a hydroxyl group or an alkyl radical, n is 2 or 3 and m is the number resulting from 3-n; and c) at least one substance accelerating the reaction of the crosslinkable poly(meth)acrylate with the cyclic ether functions.

The patent application further provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive obtainable from the composition.
