METHOD AND SYSTEMS FOR APPLYING STRETCH FILMS/PLASTIC FILMS AT A CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE
A system for controlling the temperature of a film before and/or during application, the system including: a heat source for heating a film; and stretch rollers; wherein the heat source heats the film from an ambient temperature to a temperature from about 2° C. to about 40° C. above the ambient temperature, wherein the film is heated prior to or simultaneous to being stretched by the stretch rollers, and wherein the ambient temperature is below 15° C. The preheating system may be used to enhance binding and sealing properties of stretch films used for wrapping palletized products in a reduced temperature environment. Other embodiments of the preheating film system, and methods for its use, are described herein.
Apparatus for heating plastic preforms with stationary applicator
An apparatus for heating plastic preforms with a transport device which includes holding devices for holding the plastic preforms and wherein the transport path has at least one heating portion inside which the plastic preforms are heated, and with a heating device arranged stationarily at least in portions along the transport path and which heats the plastic preforms transported by the transport device during their transport through the heating portion, wherein the heating device has at least one in particular stationary applicator device which is configured for bombarding the plastic preforms with microwaves to heat them. In the heating portion, the transport device is arranged relative to the applicator device such that at least parts of the holding devices are arranged outside the applicator device, wherein the applicator device is configured to receive several plastic preforms simultaneously for at least some of the time.
Method for producing particle foams based on thermoplastic elastomers, by thermal bonding using microwaves
A method for producing bead foams from foam beads based on thermoplastic elastomers, especially thermoplastic polyurethane, comprises foam beads being wetted with a polar liquid and joined together thermally in a mold via high-frequency electromagnetic radiation, especially microwave radiation, and also the bead foams obtainable therefrom.
Apparatus And Methods For Non-Resonant Microwave Thermal Processing
Microwave apparatus and methods provide for non-resonant microwave thermal processing that utilize non-resonant, cross polarized, slotted waveguide arrays in conjunction with a granular susceptor material to homogenously distribute microwave energy inside a microwave cavity, resulting in highly uniform temperature distributions and part heating profiles during processing.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING A REINFORCING BAR, AND RESULTING REINFORCING BAR
A method for producing a reinforcing bar by pultrusion, the method comprising the steps of: a) providing a source of fibres; b) assembling the fibres into a bundle; c) impregnating the bundle with a thermosetting resin; d) eliminating excess resin from the bundle; e) compressing the bundle in a centripetal manner; f) exposing the bundle to a radiant energy source; g) spraying particles onto a surface of the bundle; and h) exposing the bundle to radiation in order to initiate, on the surface of same, the polymerisation of the resin. The present invention also concerns a system provided with corresponding devices in order to be able to implement the method. The present invention also concerns a reinforcing bar obtained with the described method and/or system.
Mesh fence material and method for making thereof
A method for producing a fencing material including the steps of: providing a border material having an interior surface; providing a mesh material having a front and a back; treating the interior surface of the border material to produce a tacky border material surface; placing a portion of the front and/or the back of the mesh material against the tacky border material surface; pressing the tacky border material surface and the mesh material together; and thermally bonding at least some portion of the front and the back of the mesh material with the interior surface of the border material. The border material being a polyvinyl chloride, the mesh being a polyvinyl chloride material and/or a vinyl coated material.
Seating apparatus
Aspects of the present invention relate to a seat cushion (1) including a compressible member (15) and at least one insert (16). The insert (16) has one or more inflatable bladders (17-n). The at least one insert (16) is at least partially encapsulated within the compressible member (15). Further aspects of the present invention relate to a method of forming a seat cushion (1); a seat assembly (2) and a vehicle (V).
DEVICE FOR CURING LIGHT HARDENING RESIN
The device generally relates to a device for curing light hardening resin or resins, and more specifically, to a device for curing light hardening resins by exposure to selected light spectrum or spectrums for curing of light hardening resins through the incorporation of at least one light source which produces radiant light with the proper spectral frequency or frequencies to effect curing of light hardening resins used in combination with a gimbal wherein the resin or resins is placed.
Serially curable resins useful in additive manufacturing
Provided is a method of forming a three-dimensional object, which may include the steps of: (a) providing a carrier and an optically transparent member having a build surface, the carrier and the build surface defining a build region therebetween; (b) filling the build region with a polymerizable liquid that comprises a reactive blocked monomer and/or prepolymer comprising a self-polymerizing monomer and/or prepolymer blocked with a light-polymerizable blocking group; (c) irradiating the build region with light through said optically transparent member to form a solid polymer scaffold from the reactive blocked monomer and/or prepolymer and also advancing the carrier away from the build surface to form a three-dimensional intermediate; and then (d) heating and/or microwave irradiating, the three-dimensional intermediate sufficiently to degrade the scaffold and regenerate the monomer and/or prepolymer in de-blocked form, which monomer and/or prepolymer in turn self-polymerize, to form said three-dimensional object.
METHODS FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECTS WITH APPARATUS HAVING FEED CHANNELS
