Method of manufacturing a moulded article
A method of manufacturing a moulded article from first and second moulding compounds includes attaching a first moulding component to a carrier tool, placing the carrier tool and the attached first moulding component in a mould, applying a first moulding process, removing the carrier tool, placing a second moulding component in the mould, and applying a second moulding process to shape the first and second moulding components and bond the first moulding component to the second moulding component. A moulded article is also disclosed.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR A REINFORCED SEAL ELEMENT FOR JOINTS ON A DRILLING TOOL
A method for forming a seal boot includes forming a stack of discrete, non-intertwined layers by layering a sheet of elastomeric material with a fabric; rolling the stack to form a tube; installing the tube within a mold; closing the mold; and heating the mold and the installed tube.
Method of manufacture for thin, multi-bend optics by vacuum molding
A method includes placing an optical substrate onto a vacuum mold having a bent contact surface characterized by a surface roughness. The method further includes bending, by an applied bending force, the optical substrate and the protective sheet to cause the protective sheet to come into contact with the bent contact surface of the vacuum mold, generating a vacuum-induced holding force to hold the protective sheet against the bent contact surface of the vacuum mold. After a holding time period, the vacuum-induced holding force is released. During molding, a protective sheet provides a buffer layer between the bent contact surface of the vacuum mold and an optical surface of the optical substrate thereby mitigating against transfer of the surface roughness of the bent contact surface onto the optical surface.
MULTILAYER PLATE WITH COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A multilayer plate with composite material and a method thereof are described. The multilayer plate includes an aluminum-based thin sheet and a composite material layer. The aluminum-based thin sheet includes a first passivation layer, an aluminum-based metal layer, and a second passivation layer sequentially. The aluminum-based thin sheet includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first and second surfaces are set with micro holes. A diameter of the micro holes in the second surface is ranging from 0.5 μm to 10 μm. The composite material layer includes a thermoplastic polymer and a fiber material. The composite material layer has a third surface and a fourth surface opposite each other. The second surface is adjacent to or connected to the third surface. At least one portion of the thermoplastic polymer fills into the micro holes in the second surface.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A SHEET-LIKE COMPOSITE PART WITH IMPROVED COMPRESSION STRENGTH
Sheet-like composite parts are manufactured by: a) providing a substantially planar arrangement (A, B, A′) comprising a core layer (B) comprising a a fleece material made of fleece thermoplastic fibers and reinforcement fibers, sandwiched between a pair of skin layers (A, A′), each comprising a skin thermoplastic and optionally reinforcement fibers, one face of the core layer being adjacent and substantially parallel to a skin layer and a second face of the core layer being adjacent and substantially parallel to the other skin layer, b) heating and pressing the sandwich arrangement (A,B,A′) followed by cooling, thereby obtaining the composite part, wherein the compression strength of the composite part is improved with a core layer (B) which is a Z-oriented core layer having reinforcement fibers that are predominantly oriented in a direction (Z) perpendicular to the first and second faces, produced by multiple folding.
ARCHITECTURAL RESIN PANEL WITH INCORPORATED SCRAP MATERIALS
An architectural resin panel that incorporates plastic granules fused together to form a panel core. A portion of the plastic granules are contaminant granules that at least partially include a contaminant material, such as a piece of fabric, plastic film, or plant material. The granules used to form the panel core may be sourced from waste plastic material that would otherwise be required to undergo waste processing.
METHOD FOR FABRICATING COMPOSITE STRUCTURES USING COMBINED RESIN FILM AND DRY FABRIC
A method for creating a fan cowl with a hollow hat stiffener includes pressing a resin film between a non-crimp fabric (NCF) and a release poly-film to create a resin-fabric sheet. The method further includes cutting the resin-fabric sheet to a pre-determined shape to create at least one of a first resin-fabric preform, a second resin-fabric preform, and a third resin-fabric preform, draping at least the first resin-fabric preform over a tool to create an outer layer of the fan cowl, setting a mandrel over the outer layer, and draping the second resin-fabric preform over at least a portion of the mandrel and at least a portion of the first resin-fabric preform to form the hollow hat stiffener having a geometry similar to a shape of the mandrel.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MOULDED ARTICLE AND MOULDED ARTICLE OBTAINED THEREBY
A method of manufacturing a moulded article from first and second moulding compounds includes attaching a first moulding component to a carrier tool, placing the carrier tool and the attached first moulding component in a mould, applying a first moulding process, removing the carrier tool, placing a second moulding component in the mould, and applying a second moulding process to shape the first and second moulding components and bond the first moulding component to the second moulding component. A moulded article is also disclosed.
Laundry bead molding mold, laundry bead and laundry bead molding method
A laundry bead molding mold is disclosed, including a first mold cavity and a second mold cavity which are separated from each other and could be filled with detergent or detergent additives to meet different washing demands. The first mold cavity has two opposite side walls at a certain angle, which could ensure the shape of the bead product is a preset shape.
