A method of preparing a polymer hollow particle, a low-specific gravity and monodispersed polymer hollow particle of various shapes prepared using the method, and a composite including the polymer hollow particle are provided. The method includes: a first step of providing, onto a substrate including a engraved pattern, at least one expandable particle comprising a foaming agent-containing expandable core and a thermoplastic polymer shell; a second step of removing an excess of the at least one expandable particle from a resulting product of the first step; a third step of expanding the at least one expandable particle in the engraved pattern of the substrate by thermally treating a resulting product of the second step; and a fourth step of separating, from the substrate, expanded hollow polymer particles which are a resulting product of the third step.
AIRFLOW-GUIDING COMPONENT AND METHOD OF PRODUCTION
A component for guiding an airflow in an air-conditioning system of an aircraft includes at least one structural part, at least one inlet opening and at least one outlet opening for air. At least two partial shells are interconnected in an airtight manner in such a way that the inlet openings and the outlet openings remain clear. The partial shells are particle foam parts. A method for producing the component incudes forming the partial shells of particle foam, and interconnecting the partial shells to form the component.

A press (10) for manufacturing a sandwich panel comprises a first and second press plate (12; 14) that are movable with respect to one another. The press (10) has a fluid circulation loop for heating and cooling the press plates (12; 14). The fluid circulation N loop comprises a heater (22) for generating a hot fluid connected to a fluid supply conduit (24) in fluid communication with an inlet (18) of at least one internal flow channel (16) in each press plate (12; 14) and connected to a fluid return conduit (26) in fluid communication with an outlet (20) of the at least one internal flow channel (16). The fluid circulation loop is also provided with a controlled expansion valve (34) for cooling by conversion of hot pressurized water into steam, and a water source (38) for slow cooling.

A press (10) for manufacturing a sandwich panel comprises a first and second press plate (12; 14) that are movable with respect to one another. The press (10) has a fluid circulation loop for heating and cooling the press plates (12; 14). The fluid circulation N loop comprises a heater (22) for generating a hot fluid connected to a fluid supply conduit (24) in fluid communication with an inlet (18) of at least one internal flow channel (16) in each press plate (12; 14) and connected to a fluid return conduit (26) in fluid communication with an outlet (20) of the at least one internal flow channel (16). The fluid circulation loop is also provided with a controlled expansion valve (34) for cooling by conversion of hot pressurized water into steam, and a water source (38) for slow cooling.

The present invention is concerned with expanded beads of thermoplastic polyurethane in which a water-soluble anionic surfactant is attached at 50 mg/m.sup.2 to 1,000 mg/m.sup.2 onto the surfaces of expanded beads of thermoplastic polyurethane having a dispersant attached thereto; and a method for producing an expanded beads molded article, including filling the expanded beads of thermoplastic polyurethane in a mold for molding and heating with a water vapor to mutually fuse the expanded beads with each other. The present invention provides expanded beads from which an expanded TPU beads molded article having excellent tensile strength and a method for producing an expanded TPU beads molded article.
