Glide and leap system for fishing lure
12193423 · 2025-01-14 ·

A glide and leap system for fishing lure includes a floating lure, a channel, a first weight, and a compression spring. The floating lure includes a head section and a tail section as the head section and the tail section are oppositely positioned of each other about a transverse plane of the floating lure. The channel is internally integrated into the head section and concentrically positioned along a sagittal plane of the floating lure. The channel is angularly oriented from a frontal plane of the floating lure to the transverse plane at an acute angle. The compression spring is positioned within the channel and positioned adjacent to the transverse plane. The first weight is adjacently positioned to the compression spring and the frontal plane as the first weight is slidably positioned within the channel.

Embodiments relate generally to fishing lures, and more particularly to fishing lures that operate behind and to a side of a tip eye of a fishing rod to which they are connected by fishing line while being operated during trolling or being operated from a stream bank. Embodiments include submersible fishing lures and topwater fishing lures.

A user-configurable fishing lure is provided allowing the user to customize movement of the lure when pulled through water by an attached fishing line. A slot communicating through the body of the lure at a second end defines two bendable portions of the body on opposing sides of the slot. User bending of one or both of the bendable portions to different bent configurations will impart differing oscillating and spinning and other movements to the lure when pulled through the water.

A lure includes a main body, a support part, a weight, and a guide portion. The main body has a head at a front portion and a tail at a rear portion. The support part extends in a front-rear direction inside the main body. The support part is able to elastically deform in an intersecting direction that intersects with the front-rear direction. The weight is supported by the support part inside the main body. The guide portion is provided on the inner surface of the main body. The guide portion is provided on an inner surface of the main body and guides the weight in the front-rear direction or the intersecting direction.

A shoreline fishing lure includes a lure body having a pair of side portions that, together, define an interior area and an upper slit in communication with the interior area. An insert member is positioned in the interior area and includes an upper section extending upwardly through the slit and defines a plurality of harness holes arranged along front and upper edges of the insert member. The insert member includes a weight mechanism proximate a lower edge of the insert member that is configured to selectively modify the lures body's buoyancy. The fishing lure includes a wire harness having an upper prong selectively extending through a selected harness hole, the wire harness having a predetermined contoured configuration that, when attached to the selected harness hole, modifies the direction and movement of the lure body in response to water resistance.
