DYNAMICALLY TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED IN-MOULD DECORATION
20210331360 · 2021-10-28 ·

The invention relates to an injection-molding process for the production of an injection-molded element, comprising a film element and an in-mold-coating layer directly injected onto said element. The film element occupies only part of the area of the in-mold-coating layer, and therefore at least one portion of the film edges of said film element is located in the middle of the relevant area of the injection-molded element. In order to avoid notching in the boundary region, the process for the production of the injection-molded element utilizes dynamic temperature control for locally restricted heating of the mold in the region where the flow front of the in-mold-coating material encounters the film material. Injection-molded elements are thus obtained in which no optically discernible boundary is present between film element and in-mold-coating layer. Because there are no joints, the injection-molded elements are amenable to successful and durable subsequent coating.

Label handling system in an in Mould labelling machine
11130264 · 2021-09-28 · ·

A transfer device with unrolling device, intended for providing a label handling system in an IML machine (In Mould Labelling) with IML labels. The transfer device comprises at least four holders, which are movable between a first and a second position, wherein the first position has a first predetermined relationship between the four or several holders regarding the distance in the X-direction. The holders are intended for retrieval of IML labels from the unrolling device, which comprises a label web, the length of which extends in the Y-direction, with partially stamped out labels, connected to the web with micro connections. The second position has a second predetermined relationship between the four or several holders regarding distance in the X-direction. The holders are intended to deliver the IML labels to the label handling system. The unrolling device comprises adjustment means to make possible the retrieval of labels in the Y-direction, so that the distance in the Y-direction between delivered labels has a different distance in the Y-direction than between two adjacent labels in the web. Further, a method of providing an IML machine with IML labels.

A manufacturing method is configured to include arranging a conductive circuit-attached film, in which a conductive circuit having stretchability is formed on a base film, on a molding surface of a first mold having the molding surface for forming an internal surface of a preform; mold-clamping the first mold and a second mold paired with the first mold; molding the preform by injecting molten resin into a cavity formed by the mold-clamping; mold-opening the first mold and the second mold; taking out a conductive circuit-attached preform in which the conductive circuit-attached film and the preform are integrated; and blow-molding the conductive circuit-attached preform.

Injection molded plastic object with an embedded electronic circuit printed on a paper base and method of its production

The invention relates to a method to embed a label essentially consisting of a paper substrate carrying electronic inks and/or a printed electronic circuit and/or device (thereby achieving a paper-based electronic circuit) directly into a moulded plastic piece (also designated as plastic object), the embedding of the paper-based electronic circuit and the production of the plastic piece being performed in a single operation. The invention thus also relates to a method to manufacture plastic objects embedding such label. The invention also concerns a plastic object encompassing a label essentially consisting of a paper substrate carrying electronic inks and/or a printed electronic circuit and/or device (thereby achieving a paper-based electronic circuit) embedded in the moulded plastic and in particular an object obtained by the method disclosed to prepare a moulded plastic piece.

METHOD OF APPLYING A LABEL TO A CONTAINER AND A CONTAINER PRODUCED BY SAID METHOD
20210031978 · 2021-02-04 · ·

A method for applying a label to a container particularly suited for applying a polypropylene label to a polypropylene cup as it is moulded. The resultant container is made of a single type of plastic allowing it to be easily recycled. The mould used to produce the container has been designed to hold a label in place and stretch a portion of the label so it stays in place before injecting the plastic to form the container.

CONTAINER WITH LID HAVING FLUORINATED POLYMER INTERNAL SURFACE AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME

Containers and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. The containers include internal fluoropolymer surfaces, optionally comprising fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), within the storage compartments. Such fluoropolymer surfaces may be incorporated into the containers via in-mold labeling, for example. Optionally, the containers are useful for storing cannabis extracts that are typically sticky. Low surface energy of the robust fluoropolymer surfaces in such containers help to prevent adherence of the sticky products to the container surfaces.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUNGLASS LENSES, AND SUNGLASS LENS
20200290298 · 2020-09-17 ·

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing sunglass lenses, and a sunglass lens. The method comprises the following steps: S1, manufacturing of a color powder sheet: a color powder is added to a color powder sheet base material in a corresponding proportion to manufacture a plain color powder sheet; and S2, manufacturing of a lens: the color powder sheet manufactured in S1 is fixed in a cavity of a lens mold, a molten colorless and transparent lens base material is injection-molded in the cavity of the lens mold and is then integrally combined with the color powder sheet in the cavity of the lens mold, and demolding is carried out after cooling, so that a sunglass lens is manufactured. The problem of chromatic aberration of existing sunglass lenses or scratches of films on the existing sunglass lenses is solved.
