A method is described for injection molding a hollow object. The method has the steps of: (i) waiting for a cycle start signal from a press, (ii) upon receiving the cycle start signal, driving an actuator in order to regulate a flow of molten material towards a mold cavity by displacing a shutter, (iii) after a certain time, or simultaneously, sending a fluid injection signal to an injection unit in order to command the latter to activate a fluid injector to inject fluid under pressure into the mold cavity; (iv) after a certain time, or simultaneously, driving the actuator in order to regulate, by displacing the shutter with positional continuity and/or according to a programmed dynamic profile, a flow of molten material that the pressurized fluid is removing from the cavity and pushing towards the press.

METHOD FOR FORMING PART HAVING STRUCTURAL REINFORCEMENTS

A method of forming a part for a vehicle. The method includes positioning a plurality of continuous fiber reinforcements within a mold cavity of a mold, filling the mold cavity including the plurality of continuous fiber reinforcements with molten resin, and injecting fluid into the mold cavity to hollow a center portion of the molten resin.

Structural component and method of providing the same

A structural component serves as a container for a vehicle. The structural component comprises a trough-shaped container section, an edge region, and fastening elements that are provided in the edge region. The container section forms a compartment and defines a bottom region and two or more wall regions, which are at least sectionally inclined with respect to the bottom region. The two or more wall regions are arranged between the bottom region and the edge region. The fastening elements are arranged and distributed around the container section. The container section and the edge region are formed of an injection moldable fiber reinforced thermoplastic material. The structural component at least sectionally has a porous internal structure that is formed by foaming the thermoplastic material.

A production method and device for a curved resin pipe via resin injection molding that uses an assist material. An inner curve part and/or an outer curve part of a pre-selected curved section of a cavity which is formed in a mold is configured from a temperature-adjustable piece section. After molten resin is injected into the cavity from an injection molding device, the temperature of the piece section is controlled by a control unit such that the inner curve part has a lower temperature than the outer curve part, and an assist material is injected into the cavity from an assist material injection unit and is passed through the cavity so as to form a pipe path. The resin remaining in the cavity is cured to produce a curved resin pipe.
