MOULD-CLOSING UNIT FOR AN INJECTION-MOULDING MACHINE FOR PROCESSING PLASTICS
In a mould-closing unit (F) for an injection-moulding machine for processing plastics, at least one mould carrier (10), which can be moved in a longitudinal direction (L-L) of the mould-closing unit (F), is arranged on a machine base (14) and between itself and a further mould carrier (12) forms a mould-clamping space (C), in which parts of at least one cyclically openable and closable injection mould (M) can be received. At least one linear guide (16), arranged in the longitudinal direction (L-L) on the machine base (14), serves for guiding the at least one movable mould carrier (10) when there is movement in the longitudinal direction (L-L). The mould carrier is supported on the machine base (14) and/or the at least one linear guide (16) by way of a load take-up (18), which has above the at least one linear guide (16) an articulating region (20) for the at least one movable mould carrier (10), which region is connected to the movable mould carrier with a force fit or material bonding and the stiffness of which is greater in the longitudinal direction (L-L) than in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction (L-L). The forces acting on the guide of the movable mould carrier during the operation of the injection-moulding machine are minimized by the load take-up (18) and/or the articulating region (20) being elliptical in cross section, with the minor axis of the ellipse extending in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction (L-L) of the mould-closing unit (F).
MOLD CLAMPING APPARATUS AND INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE
A mold clamping apparatus includes a mold clamping mechanism having a screw shaft, a crosshead, and a cylindrical cover member configured to house the screw shaft. The cover member includes a rear cover member arranged between a mold clamping housing and the crosshead and a front cover member arranged between the crosshead and a movable platen, and the rear cover member expands and contracts in accordance with change in a facing distance between the mold clamping housing and the crosshead caused by movement of the crosshead.
Method for moving a movable platen
A method for moving a movable mold mounting plate of a molding machine, wherein the movable mold mounting plate is movable relative to a stationary mold mounting plate and the mold mounting plates are kinematically connected to each other, wherein molding tool parts arranged on the mold mounting plates are brought into abutment to each other in a closed state and wherein the movable mold mounting plate is moved by a drive mechanism and/or the stationary mold mounting plate is moved by an injection device such that, when reaching a predeterminable distance of the mold mounting plates relative to each other, a parameter representing a tilting movement of the mold mounting plates relative to each other is less than or equal to a presettable value.
MANUFACTURING METHOD AND INJECTION MOLDING SYSTEM
A method including a first step of performing clamping of a mold, injection and dwelling in an injection molding machine, a second step of performing a conveyance and a cooling of the mold outside of the machine, and a third step of performing a conveyance of the mold into the machine, an opening of the mold and an ejection of a molded part in the machine. The second step is performed for a first mold, the third step and the next first step are performed for a second mold. The first mold is conveyed by a first conveyance apparatus which is arranged on one lateral side of the machine. The second mold is conveyed by a second conveyance apparatus which is arranged on the other lateral side and is independently driven from the first conveyance apparatus.
Safety apparatus
A safety apparatus includes a safety bar that is capable of moving in a mold clamping direction and a mold opening direction, in conjunction with a moving platen provided with a movable mold, and a latch that contacts the safety bar when a door, which is provided in a cover of an injection molding device, is open, wherein the latch includes a notch in a surface thereof on the mold-opening-direction side.
MOLD WITH QUICK CONNECTION AND DISCONNECTION
A mold assembly includes a services block and a cavity plate defining at least a portion of a molding cavity. A quick connection mechanism can connect and disconnect the plate and the services block. The cavity plate may include a base block and a mold cavity block. A mold assembly may include two opposed combinations of such a service block and a cavity plate each mounted to an opposed platen. The base block may include a quick connection device operable connect with and disconnect from a quick connection device on the services block. A services channel in the cavity plate may connect with and disconnect from a service channel in the services block with a quick connection mechanism. A molding system may include a plurality of such cavity plates, each operable to connect with and disconnect from the same services block.
Clamping unit for a moulding machine and moulding machine comprising such a clamping unit
A clamping unit for a moulding machine, including a toggle mechanism. A movable moulding platen is movable with respect to a stationary moulding platen and/or can be acted on by a force of the toggle mechanism. The toggle mechanism is drivable by at least two drive units, and the at least two drive units are each connected in an articulated manner to at least one movably mounted toggle lever element of the toggle mechanism via at least one bearing point formed as an articulation.
Mold clamping device having a half nut and injection molding apparatus
An injection molding apparatus has a mold clamping device that includes a traction platen disposed below a pressure-receiving platen, a movable platen disposed above the pressure-receiving platen and configured to be moved up and down by a mold opening and closing mechanism, and tie bars extending downward from the movable platen and penetrating the pressure-receiving platen and the traction platen. The mold clamping device is configured to clamp molds disposed between the pressure-receiving platen and the movable platen. Each tie bar has a tooth portion at its lower end that engages with a tooth portion of a half nut connected to an underside of the traction plate. An injection device arranged on the movable platen includes a heating cylinder having a screw for feeding resin material through a nozzle to an upper one of the molds, and a purging cover encloses a space between the lower end portion of the heating cylinder and the movable platen.
INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE AND FLASH PREVENTION METHOD
When an injection molding machine performs molding, the mold clamping force on the mold is adjusted on the basis of a mold displacement of the mold or the injection peak pressure and injection foremost position so that the molding is performed without causing flash and by an appropriate mold clamping force with which energy can be reduced. The amount of mold displacement and also the injection peak pressure and the injection foremost position are monitored during automatic operation. If there occurs no mold displacement change exceeding a threshold or if there occurs no injection peak pressure anomaly or injection foremost position anomaly exceeding thresholds, the automatic operation is continued. If the mold displacement change occurs or if the injection peak pressure anomaly and the injection foremost position anomaly occur, the operation of the injection molding machine is stopped.
