MULTI-LAYER BLOWING HEAD FOR A BLOWN FILM INSTALLATION, BLOWN FILM INSTALLATION, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A BLOWN FILM INSTALLATION
20190263041 · 2019-08-29 ·

The invention relates to a multi-layer blowing head for a blown film installation, to a blown film installation, and to a method for operating a blown film installation. Specifically, according to the invention, a component is included on the opposite side of a distributor plate of a distributor plate set for a spiral distributor, wherein part of the spiral distributor is formed out of the opposite side of a distributor plate. The blowing head according to the invention for forming a multi-layer melt flow makes it possible, in the case of suitable operating parameters, to prevent the occurrence of spiral strips or at least to make said spiral strips less pronounced.

SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BRAID REINFORCED TUBING

An extrusion crosshead assembly for manufacturing braid reinforced tubing includes a body having a bore housing an outer deflector, an outer spline concentrically mounted within a bore of the outer deflector, an inner spline concentrically mounted within the outer spline and forming a plenum therebetween, an inner deflector concentrically mounted within a bore of the inner spline, and a hollow tip body mounted concentrically within a bore of the inner deflector.

Flexible tube and production apparatus therefor
10350808 · 2019-07-16 · ·

Provided is a production apparatus capable of producing a flexible tube whose hardness is naturally varied along the length direction thereof. This mixing valve includes: a first valve configured to distribute a first resin to a resin supply path and a resin discharge path; and a second valve configured to distribute a second resin to the resin supply path and the resin discharge path. In the mixing valve, the mixing proportion between the first resin and the second resin is increased or decreased in association with molding of the flexible tube, by changing a distribution ratio of the first resin in the first valve and a distribution ratio of the second resin in the second valve while keeping constant the total of the supply mounts of the first resin and the second resin supplied to a die.

Apparatus and method for forming a polymeric web
10350806 · 2019-07-16 · ·

The present invention is directed to an apparatus for forming a multi-layer web formed from at least two polymeric film tubes in intimate contact with each other but not bonded to each other. The apparatus and method includes the use of a blown film extrusion die that extrudes two separate blown film polymeric tubes via two separate annular die lips. A fluid cooling system applies cooling fluid across a plurality of surfaces of the two blown film tubes. One of the die lips may be at a different height from the other die lip. The frost line of one blown film tube may be at a different height from the other blown film tube.

Method of tubular microlayer and multi-component co-extrusion via deflector perturbation

The present invention relates to a method of transforming multilayered and/or multi-component streams into tubular shapes prior to or during extrusion by passing the streams over a deflector. The invention also relates to dies containing spiral, bowtie, circumferential and/or wrapping deflectors and products made by such methods.

RETICULAR STRUCTURE AND PROCESS FOR MAKING THE SAME
20240237592 · 2024-07-18 ·

Reticular structure made of material including: a biodegradable polymeric composition in a percentage by weight greater than 90% with respect to the total weight of the material of the reticular structure and a stabilizing additive configured, in use, for reducing the degradation of the reticular structure. A process for making said reticular structure and to a use thereof.

A sealant film including a polyester layer containing polyester as a main ingredient, in which the polyester is made of a structural unit derived from ethylene glycol, a structural unit derived from terephthalic acid and a structural unit derived from isophthalic acid, a ratio of the structural unit derived from isophthalic acid is 3.0 mol % or more and 15 mol % or less relative to ratios of the structural unit derived from terephthalic acid and the structural unit derived from isophthalic acid constituting the polyester, and a content rate of an oligomer contained in polyester layer is less than 2.0% by mass.

EXTRUSION HEAD ARRANGEMENT
20240253289 · 2024-08-01 · ·

An extrusion head arrangement has a plurality of extrusion heads arranged next to one another along a transverse axis. Each extrusion head has a housing with at least one flow channel for forming a strand of extrudable plastic in the direction of a longitudinal axis. The housing has an outer housing part extending along the longitudinal axis with an outer circumferential surface. A longitudinal bore parallel to the longitudinal axis is arranged in the outer housing part. The outer circumferential surface of the outer housing part has an oval cross-section with a largest diameter and a smallest diameter. The extrusion heads are arranged next to each other with the smallest diameters parallel to the transverse axis. The longitudinal bores are each arranged on a diameter deviating from the smallest diameter.
