The installation is for producing a coextruded profiled element for tires that is made from rubber compounds of different compositions. The installation includes at least one first extruder having a screw with a longitudinal axis and at least one second extruder having a screw with a different longitudinal axis. An extrusion head is connected to each of the extruders by appropriate ducts. The feed inlet of each extruder is connected to the delivery orifice of a gear pump.

A cable jacket extruder comprises a chamber, a feeding port disposed at one end of the chamber, an extruding screw disposed inside the chamber, a pathway connected to an outlet at another end of the chamber, wherein a vent is defined on the pathway, and a nozzle connected to the pathway. In another example, a tandem-type cable jacket extruder is provided. The tandem-type cable jacket extruder comprises a first chamber and a second chamber connected in tandem via a pathway, a vent disposed on the pathway, a feeding port disposed at one end of the first chamber, and an extruding screw disposed in each of the first and second chambers. A method for manufacturing cable jackets is also provided.

A multilayer film includes an extruded first polymer layer confined between extruded second polymer layers. The first polymer layer includes a high aspect ratio crystalline lamellae. The multilayer film is substantially impermeable to gas diffusion.

APPARATUS FOR FORMING A POLYMERIC WEB
The present invention is directed to an apparatus for forming a multi-layer web formed from at least two polymeric film tubes in intimate contact with each other but not bonded to each other. The apparatus includes the use of a blown film extrusion die that extrudes two separate blown film polymeric tubes via two separate annular die lips. A fluid cooling system applies cooling fluid across a plurality of surfaces of the two blown film tubes. One of the die lips may be at a different height from the other die lip. The frost line of one blown film tube may be at a different height from the other blown film tube.

Those measures include a choke being arranged at an outlet of the planetary roller extruder section or module, a distance between centerlines of adjacent planetary spindles being at least equal to an outer diameter of the planetary spindles, providing a pressurized melt supply, having a cooling section composed of several sections/modules, providing at least one section/module in which a flow, during melt supply is converse to the conveying direction of the extruder, and providing cooling tubes arranged within the central spindle.
