METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING PROFILED PLASTIC SECTIONS
The invention relates to a method for producing profiled plastic sections in an extrusion line consisting of multiple tools, wherein a starting material is plasticized and molded in an extruder and then cooled and calibrated in at least one drying calibration unit and at least one calibration tank. The material is then divided into individual profiled sections. The quality of the profiled sections is improved in that a central control unit is provided which is connected to the tools and obtains data from the tools for uniquely identifying the tool and data on the state of the tool and transmits back adjustment data for said tool and other tools.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING PLASTIC PROFILES
The invention relates to a method for producing plastic profiles, according to which a starting material is plasticated and formed in an extruder, then is cooled and calibrated in at least one dry calibration unit and at least one calibration tank and is subsequently subdivided into individual profile sections. To achieve optimal control of the extrusion line, measurements relating to the geometry and/or the weight of the plastic profile are continuously carried out downstream of the calibration tank and correction values, which are used to change settings in the extruder, the dry calibration unit and/or the calibration tank, are calculated directly from these measured values.

A device for guiding a film tube emerging from a film blowing head and drawn off in a production direction, including a frame (48) through which the film tube (16) can be passed in the production direction (P), and a plurality of adjusting units (59, 60) distributed over the circumference for adjusting film guide elements (47) transversely to the production direction (P), the adjusting units (59, 60) each having: a pivot arm (50), pivotally attached to the frame (48), a carrier (51) for at least one of the film guide elements (47), the carrier (51) being pivotally connected to the pivot arm (50), and a coupling rod (52) pivotably connected to the carrier (51). At least one first adjusting unit (59) has an actuating mechanism (53, 54) through which the coupling rod (52) the adjusting unit (59) is connected in an articulating manner to the frame (48).
Device and Method for Calibrating a Blown Film
The invention relates to a device and a method for calibrating a blown film (6), said device comprising: a tubular region with at least one inner wall (55), through which region the blown film can be passed; a liquid reservoir (82), which can be used to provide a liquid and which is situated above the tubular region, the liquid being guidable between the inner wall (55) and the blown film; and a suctioning device (B), situated below the tubular region, for suctioning off at least part of the liquid from the blown film. At least one liquid-permeable element (92) is provided, said element surrounding at least parts of the periphery of the blown film (6). This device permits the distance of the liquid-permeable element from the main axis of the blown film to be altered.

The invention relates to a calibration device (1) for calibrating a blown film (6), said device comprising; a tubular region (55) with at least one inner wall (92), through which region the blown film (6) can be passed; a liquid reservoir which provides a liquid and which is situated above the tubular region (55); an inlet region, in which the liquid can be introduced into the space between the outer wall of the blown film (6) and the inner wall (92) of the tubular region (55); and a scraper device (117), situated below the tubular region (55), by means of which scraper device at least part of the liquid can be removed from the outer surface. The distance of the liquid-removing regions of the scraper device (117) from the main axis of the blown film (6) can be altered.
WOOD PLANK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A method of injecting a colorant into an extruded material and an artificial wood plank formed from said method. The method includes steps of extruding the material from an extruder to at least one die, shaping the material into a board via the at least one die, injecting the colorant into the material with at least one color injector in a pre-defined pattern, and forming a bubble in the material to impart a simulated woodgrain appearance into the material downstream of the at least one die.
EXTRUSION ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING EXTRUDED MATERIAL
A method of forming an extrusion bubble in an extruded material. The method includes steps of extruding the material from an extruder to at least one die, expanding a first portion of the material along the at least one die, expanding a second portion of the material along a calibrator, and forming a bubble in the material between the at least one die and the calibrator to impart a simulated woodgrain appearance into the material. The method may further include a step of defining an extrusion gap between the at least one die and the calibrator; wherein the bubble is formed inside of the extrusion gap.
EXTRUSION ASSEMBLY FOR MANUFACTURING EXTRUDED MATERIAL
An extrusion color injection system that includes an extruder, at least one die, at least one color injector, a calibrator, and an extrusion gap. The at least one die is operable to shape material exiting from the extruder. The at least one color injector is operable to inject a colorant into the material exiting from the extruder in a pre-defined pattern. The is also calibrator downstream of the at least one die. The extrusion gap is defined between the at least one die and the calibrator. In this system, a bubble is formed in the material at the extrusion gap to impart a simulated appearance into the material with the colorant.

The invention relates to a calibrating device and to a method for calibrating a film tube. An elastically deformable element (704) is secured to the sleeve (703) such that a fluid, in particular a gas, preferably air, can be introduced or discharged via a fluid connection such that a specific pressure P1 and/or a specific volume V1 is set in an area (708) enclosed by the sleeve and the elastically deformable element at a given temperature. Annular bodies (706) and (707) are arranged within the area (708), and a surface section of each annular body (706), (707) supports a respective region of the elastically deformable element (704). The elastically deformable element (704) regions which are supported by the annular bodies are located in the inlet region (711) and the outlet region (712) of the calibrating device for the film tube (713).
