Braking system for towed vehicles
A towed vehicle hitch tongue includes movably connected front and rear tongue members, and a fully exposed master cylinder connected at opposite ends thereof to the tongue members such that a rearward force urging the front tongue member toward the rear tongue member forces pressurized braking fluid out of a port thereof into a braking circuit configured to exert a braking force. The braking circuit prevents braking until the rearward force warrants braking, provides dampening of the brake action, allows the towed vehicle to reverse, and can provide emergency stopping and dampening of movement of the hitch tongue. Instead of using movable front and rear tongue members, sensors can detect what the towed vehicle is doing, and apply appropriate braking force in response.
Agricultural planter having tapered bearings on row unit mounting bracket
Tapered bearings are used on each end of each link arm on an agricultural seed row planter mounted on a toolbar. The bearing is a low friction material and greaseless. The tapered design of the bearings allows the bearings to be adjusted as wear occurs, by tightening the link arm mounting nut which extends through the tapered bearing. The tapered bearing has an increased life and reduced maintenance, as compared to prior art roller bearings.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING A PHYSICAL PARAMETER OF AN UPPER LINK
A method for determining a physical parameter of an adjustable upper link of a three-point hitch during a working operation thereof includes providing a lower link of the three-point hitch and an implement attachable to the upper and lower links of the three-point hitch. The method includes generating calibration data prior to the working operation of the three-point hitch, where the calibration data defines a relationship of a length of the upper link to an upper link angle defined between the upper link and a reference line. Moreover, the calibration data is used to determine a physical parameter of the adjustable upper link during the working operation.
Hitch having means for securing a PTO during transit
A hitch comprising: a) a first member having a first top surface, an opposing first bottom surface, a first side, an opposing second side, a first end, a distal second end, and at least one channel proximate the first end and extending from the first side through to the second side. A second channel proximate the second end and extending from first top surface to the bottom surface; and b) a second member next to the second end and having a predetermined thickness, the second member having a third end, a fourth end, and a third channel next to the fourth end. The third channel extends through the predetermined thickness. A portion of the second member is rigidly affixed to a portion of the first member, so that the second bottom surface and the first top surface are at an acute angle .
Autonomous systems, methods, and apparatus for AG based operations
The use of self-powered, autonomous vehicles in agricultural and other domestic applications is provided. The vehicles include a self-propelled drive system, tracks or wheels operatively connected to the drive system, a power supply operatively connected to the drive system, an attachment mechanism for attaching equipment to the vehicle, and an intelligent control operatively connected to the drive system, power supply, and attachment mechanism. The vehicle is configured to connect to the equipment to perform agricultural operations based upon the equipment. Multiple vehicles can be used in a field at the same time. Furthermore, the invention includes the ability to move one or more of the autonomous vehicles from field to field, home to field, or from generally any first location to a second location.

GROUND-ENGAGING IMPLEMENT WITH LATERAL POSITION ADJUSTMENT
A row frame is coupled to the rear member. A first opener is configured to open the soil; the first opener is supported by or from a first support extending downward from the frame member. A first outlet is configured to dispense or apply a nutrient strip. A laterally movable carrier is associated with the row frame. The carrier supports the first opener and the first outlet. A second outlet can dispense or plant seed, wherein the first outlet and the second outlet have a lateral separation that is dynamically adjustable during the simultaneous application of seed and the nutrient strip.
GROUND-ENGAGING IMPLEMENT WITH LATERAL POSITION ADJUSTMENT
A data processor determines whether a draft force on the implement is unbalanced based on an error between the observed implement angle and a target implement heading exceeding a threshold deviation. The data processor is adapted to generate a control signal to compensate for the imbalance in the draft force by adjusting the first lateral position via the first actuator, or by adjusting the second lateral position via the second actuator, the first actuator and the second actuator being positioned on opposite lateral sides of the implement.
GROUND-ENGAGING IMPLEMENT WITH LATERAL POSITION ADJUSTMENT
A laterally movable carrier is associated with a row frame. The carrier is connected to a frame member, an opener, a first outlet and a second outlet to allow for dynamically variable adjustment of the lateral separation between a first row of planted seed and a second row of planted seed, where the first row of seed is adjacent to the second row of seed.
Gimbal for connecting implements to a tow vehicle
A gimbal is provided for attaching an implement to a three-point hitch. The gimbal has an implement plate comprising a first side and a second side wherein attached to the first side is an upper implement bracket for coupling to an upper implement arm and a lower bracket for coupling to a lower implement arm wherein the second side comprises a retaining cavity. A tow plate is received in the retaining cavity and is rotational relative to the implement plate. The tow plate comprises lower brackets arranged to connect to lift arms of the three point hitch and an upper bracket arranged to connect to a stabilizer arm of the three point hitch.
