BLOW MOLD
A blow mold includes: a pair of movable molds for forming engagement grooves of a container body; and advancing/retreating mechanism units for advancing and retreating the movable molds between a standby position and a molding position. The advancing/retreating mechanism units are equipped with drive shafts to which the movable molds are fixed and which are rotatably supported with respect to a cavity mold; actuator devices which each have a linear-motion shaft capable of advancing and retreating in a direction orthogonal to the drive shaft and which are each swingably provided with respect to the cavity mold; and link members each having an end side fixed to the drive shaft outside the cavity mold and an opposite end side coupled to the linear-motion shaft.
Method of handling a plastic container having a moveable base
Method for processing hot-filled plastic containers are provided. In some embodiments, the method may include hot-filling a plastic container, sealing the container, and conveying the sealed container, each with an inner annular wall and a push-up portion in a first position. In some embodiments, the method may further include creating a vacuum pressure in the hot-filled and sealed container and repositioning or inverting the push-up portion from the first position to a second position under the vacuum pressure.
Molding unit for containers, equipped with a boxing device having an added sleeve
Disclosed is a molding unit for the forming of a container provided with a hollow recess, this molding unit including: a mold provided with a lateral wall defining a cavity and provided with a pocket that comes out into the cavity; and a boxing device. The boxing device includes: an insert mounted in translation relative to the lateral wall between a retracted position in which the insert is retracted into the pocket, and a deployed position in which the insert projects into the cavity outside of the pocket; an actuator integral with the insert and provided with a piston; and an added sleeve, mounted in a complementary recess made in the lateral wall and attached to it, and in which the piston is mounted in translation.
BLOW MOLD
A blow mold is provided and includes a cavity mold composed of a pair of split molds for forming a cavity in which a preform is to be housed, a link member having one end side pivotably supported by a shaft member, and having on another end side a recess insert die which presses the preform during blow molding to form a grip portion, and a cam member which is provided lateral to the cavity mold so as to be linearly movable, and which presses the link member in accordance with a linear movement thereof to pivot the link member.
Container production method by liquid blow molding
A container production method by liquid blow molding. The method includes a head space forming step of forming a head space in the upper portion of a container, in which, with the container disposed in a cavity, a bottom panel portion molded into an upward convex shape on a bottom of the container is inverted by pushing it down with a pushing rod and is plastically deformed into a downward convex shape.
Molding unit for containers, equipped with fluid and pneumatic circuits coming out on an upper surface
Disclosed is a molding unit for the forming of a container provided with a hollow recess toward the interior of the container, this forming unit including: a mold provided with a lateral wall defining a cavity having the impression of at least one part of the container and incorporating a fluid circuit for thermal regulation of the wall, which comes out on an upper surface of the mold; and a boxing device. The boxing device includes: an insert mounted in translation relative to the lateral wall; an actuator integral with the insert; and a pneumatic circuit for controlling the movement of the piston, which includes at least one primary duct for supplying the chamber, which comes out on the upper surface of the mold.
METHOD OF HANDLING A PLASTIC CONTAINER HAVING A MOVEABLE BASE
A plastic container comprises an upper portion including a finish defining an opening into the container, a lower portion including a base defining a standing surface, a sidewall extending between the upper portion and the lower portion, the sidewall defining a longitudinal axis, and at least one substantially transversely-oriented pressure panel located in the lower portion. The pressure panel is movable between an outwardly-inclined position and an inwardly-inclined position to compensate for a change of pressure inside the container. The standing surface defines a standing plane, and the entire pressure panel is located between the standing plane and the upper portion of the container when the pressure panel is in the outwardly-inclined position.
METHOD FOR FORMING A WELDING SPOUT ON A PARISON DURING THE BLOWING OF A TANK
The invention relates to a tank of plastics material produced by blow-molding of a parison, incorporating a welding spout, of a shape projecting from its outer surface which has an edge configured to be welded to a corresponding edge of an attached part, the welding spout ending axially, on an inside of the tank, in a shape resulting from contact molding between the parison and a molding component, in which the welding spout ends axially on an outside of the tank in a shape resulting from contact molding between the parison and a molding component.
Lightweight container base
A container including an opening defined by a finish portion, and a base at an end of the container opposite to the opening. The base includes a standing ring extending inward from a heal to a center pushup portion. The center pushup portion includes an pushup ring surrounding an inversion portion. In an as-blown position the inversion portion extends outward and beyond the pushup ring such that the inversion portion is further from the opening than the pushup ring. In a final position the inversion portion is inverted relative to the as-blown position such that the inversion portion extends inward so as to be closer to the opening than the pushup ring. The inversion portion is mechanically moved from the as-blown position to the filled position with an inversion device after the container has been filled to reduce vacuum or increase pressure within the container.
Molding unit for containers, equipped with a boxing device with improved compactness
Disclosed is a molding unit for the forming of a container provided with a hollow recess toward the interior of the container, including: a mold provided with a lateral wall defining a cavity having the impression of at least one portion of the container, provided with a housing formed hollow in a protrusion forming a projection toward the interior of the cavity and opening into the cavity; and a boxing device having an insert mounted in translation relative to the lateral wall between a retracted position in which the insert is retracted in the housing, and a deployed position in which the insert projects outside of the housing, a projection whose transverse extension is less than or equal to 85% of the cumulative transverse extension of the protrusion and of the insert.
