The method comprises the steps of heating at least one region (511) of a mold cavity (6) of a molding body (4) of the blow molding tool (1), on which the negative structure is formed, inserting a preform into the mold cavity (6), closing the blow molding tool (1), molding the plastic container by inflating the preform and bringing the preform to lie against the inner wall (51) of the mold cavity (6), cooling the region (511) by supplying a coolant through temperature control channels (54), and removing the plastic container from the mold.

The invention relates to a blow molding tool for a blow molding machine for producing plastic containers in an extrusion or stretch blow-molding process. The blow molding tool comprises two blow mold halves, each of which comprises at least one molding body in which at least one mold cavity is disposed, and a baseplate that receives said molding body. An insulation block consisting of a thermally insulating material is arranged between the molding body and the baseplate and, optionally, further components of the blow mold halves.

Mold insert for improved heat transfer
A mold block includes a tool body with a contoured finished surface adapted to receive a tool insert having a forming surface for forming a bottle neck in a molding operation. The tool body defines an internal channel for heat transfer with the forming surface. At least a portion of the channel is offset generally equidistant from the finished surface to provide a path contoured for conformal cooling of the insert. The tool body has a pair of ports intersecting the channel. Several methods for forming a mold block are disclosed and include machining a contoured finished surface adapted to receive a tool insert on a tool body, forming a heat transfer channel within the tool body, and forming a pair of ports into the tool body. At least a portion of the channel is offset generally equidistant from the finished surface for conformal cooling of the insert.
INJECTION AND BLOW MOLD FOR AN INJECTION MACHINE
The present invention relates to an injection and blow mold for an injection machine, the mold comprising one or more rows of molding cavities arranged in a base plate (5), each row of cavities including several injection cavities (1) and several blow cavities (2) arranged in an alternating manner and aligned with one another, with blow cavities (2) at opposite ends of the row. The injection cavities (1) are formed individually in respective injection blocks (3) and the blow cavities (2) are formed individually in respective blow blocks (4). The injection blocks (3) and the blow blocks (4) are separated from one another and project from the base plate (5). The injection blocks (3) are heated by external heating means relative to the base plate (5), and the blow blocks (4) are cooled by a cooling fluid circulating through cooling conduits (7a) arranged inside the blow blocks (4).
BLOW MOULDING MACHINE WITH AUTOMATICALLY ACTUATED BASE COUPLING
Apparatus for transforming plastic parisons into plastic containers includes a transforming station having a blow mould within which plastic parisons can be expanded by application of a gaseous medium. The blow mould has a base part arranged releasably on a support. The transforming station has at least one first connector for supplying a flowable temperature control medium to the transforming station, and this supply of the temperature control medium can be disconnected via the connector. The fastening mechanism has a release element which is movable in a predetermined straight direction. By displacement of this release element into a first predetermined position fastening of the base part on the support is releasable and by a displacement of this release element into a second predetermined position the base part can be fastened on the support.

A method for producing a plastic container by internal pressure forming including arranging a hose-shaped preform between the molding dies of a mold, formed having a mold cavity; closing the mold and forming or preforming a container from the preform by internal pressure, wherein a circumferential section of the preform is pressed through a mold gap into a chamber surrounding the mold cavity and is pressed in the chamber against claw pairs having stationary inner retaining claws and movable outer tear-away claws; and laterally moving the outer tear-away claws, causing the circumferential section between the outer tear-away claws and the inner retaining claws to be torn open and the container to be split into two container halves. Also disclosed is a mold suitable for performing the method.
MOLDING DEVICE FOR EXECUTING HOT-MOLDING AND COLD-MOLDING METHODS
Disclosed is a device for molding containers made of thermoplastic material including: a shell-carrier designed to accommodate an interchangeable molding shell including a bearing face resting against a support face of the shell-carrier; a cold-molding shell whose bearing face is shaped to be directly in contact with the support face; and a cooling unit for each shell-carrier. Moreover, the device includes: a hot-molding shell equipped with a heating unit that heat its bearing face; and thermal insulation interposed between the bearing face of the hot-molding shell and the support face of the shell-carrier.
