METHODS OF PACKAGING AND PRESERVING MOLLUSKS
Methods are provided for storing and preserving comestible mollusk material, preferably so as to extend shelf life of the same. In one optional method, comestible mollusk material is placed in a product containing space of a storage container atop a platform of a support structure. The storage container includes an internal compartment having the product containing space. The support structure defines the platform for supporting the comestible mollusk material. The internal compartment further includes a reservoir, configured to retain liquid, below the platform. The platform and/or support structure are configured to direct liquid exuded from the comestible mollusk material to the reservoir. Optionally, the reservoir comprises an absorbent material for absorbing liquid in the reservoir.
Systems and methods for vacuum chilling poultry products
A system for vacuum chilling poultry product includes: a vacuum chamber configured to be evacuated to chill poultry product in the vacuum chamber; at least one inclined or vertical conduit coupled to the vacuum chamber, with the at least one conduit configured to hold at least one water seal when the vacuum chamber is evacuated; and a conveying mechanism that is configured to continuously convey the poultry product upwardly through the at least one conduit, then into and through the vacuum chamber, and then downwardly through the at least one conduit.

Resealable packaging device and method for packaging food product
A packaging device incorporating a breathable peel/reseal film and enabling a preservation process for allowing for the distribution, storage and multiple servings of a food product, particularly perishable food product(s), and initiating and controlling the transmission rates, respiration rates or deterioration of the perishable food product(s) and thereby, maintaining good internal and external food quality and normal development of flavor and aroma characteristics. The packaging device includes a plurality of atmospheric control attributes that modulates or controls the atmosphere within the packaging device as the food product(s) respire in order to promote the extended shelf-life of the food product and the maintenance of the quality and desirable marketable characteristics of the food product. The atmospheric control attributes can include perforations that may be positioned in breathable peel/reseal film portion of the package to allow the product respiration for multiple servings without substantially altering the shelf life extension properties of the packaging device.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PACKAGING AND TRANSPORTING FROZEN OYSTERS ON THE HALF SHELL
A method is provided for packaging frozen oysters on a half shell in a container. Each frozen oyster on the half shell comprises oyster meat on a round shell. The method includes the step of positioning the frozen oysters within the container in an inverted orientation such that oyster meat of the frozen oysters faces a bottom of the container and the round shell of the frozen oysters faces an opening in a top of the container.
METHOD OF PROVIDING PROCESSED MARINE PRODUCT FOR REFRIGERATION STORAGE
The present invention relates to a method of providing a processed marine product for refrigeration storage, the method being characterized by directly storing a refrigerated processed marine product in a container made of a plastic material having a transparency to allow the amount of the refrigerated processed marine product stored therein to be visually recognized from the outside, without packaging the product in a plastic bag or the like, and supplying the product to a consumer.

Volatile applications against pathogens
This invention is related to the use of a volatile antimicrobial compound against pathogens. The volatile antimicrobial compounds provided include certain oxaborole compounds, for example benzoxaboroles. Delivery systems are provided to take advantage of the volatile nature of these antimicrobial compounds. The method and use disclosed can be combined with other volatile compounds.
