A THERMOFORMING MACHINE AND METHOD
This thermoforming machine includes a thermoforming chamber having at least one heated air inlet through which heated air flows into the thermoforming chamber at a controlled pressure. The air inlet cooperates with a heated air flow distribution regulator located in the thermoforming chamber and through which the heated air flows out of the thermoforming chamber at a predetermined temperature. The regulator includes a heated air flow regulating mask receiving heated air flow, having a plurality of flow restricting elements providing different air flow restrictions.

THERMOFORMING DEVICE AND THERMOFORMING METHOD
A thermoforming device according to the present invention has a masking plate and a heater block. A plurality of the heater blocks are disposed with a space therebetween in a planar direction of the masking plate. The thickness of the masking plate is 0.2-3.0 mm. The distance of the space is 1-15 mm, and the distance of the space is set at least five times larger than the thickness of the masking plate. Heat to be transmitted to the masking plate from a high temperature heater block is more easily transmitted in the thickness direction of the masking plate than in the surface direction of the masking plate, and is more easily transmitted to the sheet than to a portion, of the masking plate, corresponding to a low temperature heater block, whereby a temperature difference is provided between different zones of the masking plate.
METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION AND FILLING OF AN APPLICATION PACKAGE FOR A LIQUID PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT
A method for the production and filling of an application package for a liquid pharmaceutical product. A thermoforming film made of thermoplastics laminated together is heated in order to plasticize the thermoforming film at least in partial areas. The plasticized areas are thermoformed in a mold in order to form a chamber for the liquid pharmaceutical product and a tube-shaped application duct opening into this chamber, with the chamber and the application duct being enclosed by a non-thermoformed, essentially flat bonding area of the thermoforming film. The liquid pharmaceutical product is filled into the chamber, and the chamber and the application duct are sealed by covering the thermoformed and filled thermoforming film with an essentially flat covering film. The covering film is directly bonded to the bonding area of the thermoforming film by thermal ring sealing, enclosing the chamber and the application duct.
Aligner manufacturing system
A system includes a heating section configured to heat a sheet of plastic to generate a heated sheet of plastic. The system includes a plate configured to secure a mold associated with a dental arch of a patient. The plate includes a locking mechanism. The mold includes feature configured to interface with the locking mechanism. The system further includes a thermoforming chamber configured to thermoform the heated sheet of plastic to the mold that is secured to the plate via an interface of the locking mechanism with the feature to generate a thermoformed sheet of plastic. The locking mechanism is configured to extend through the mold and overlap an upper surface of the mold to lock the mold in a z-direction that is orthogonal to a plane defined by the plate. The system further includes a cutting tool configured to trim an aligner from the thermoformed sheet of plastic.
METHOD FOR HOT-FORMING A THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL AND IMPLEMENTATION FACILITY
A method for shaping a preform made from thermoplastic material, and a facility for implementing the method, comprising the following steps: a) providing a preform made from thermoplastic material having a surface; b) supplying thermal energy to the preform by radiation in such a way as to make it ductile; and c) shaping the ductile preform inside a forming mould. Step b) further involves simultaneously spraying a gaseous fluid onto the surface of the preform in order to preserve the surface.
Apparatus and methods for selective thermoforming
Apparatus and methods of forming selected portions of integral sheets of material are disclosed. Unformed portions of the sheets may remain undistorted during the forming process, allowing them to contain text, art work, or other desired information without material risk of the information being degraded or becoming unintelligible during the forming process. This result may be accomplished, moreover, with less trim than usually occurs in conventional forming processes.

[Solution] In an adherend W having a three-dimensional molded portion in which a plurality of concavities and/or convexities are molded in a regular arrangement, a thermoplastic coating film larger than the area of an adhesion region is integrally adhered by a three dimensional decorative molding procedure in a predetermined adhesion region that includes the three-dimensional molded portion. The predetermined adhesion region includes all of the three-dimensional molded portion and covers more than half the perimeter of the adherend W in center cross-sectional view.
Container with product visualization aperture
The present invention relates to a method for providing a product viewing window in a container. The container has at least a body ply and a liner ply, wherein the body ply has at least one aperture therethrough. The liner ply is adhered across the aperture, forming a window into the container. A window-finishing machine that comprises at least two platens and, optionally, a machine pocket positioned between them, a heating element extending through at least one of the platens, and a pressurized air device engages a container. The heating element heats the window of the container to the desired temperature, pressurized air is injected into the container such that the window is forced at least partially through the aperture of the container (and optionally into contact with the machine pocket wall), and the container window is then cooled to the desired temperature.
SYSTEMS FOR THERMAL FORMING AN OBJECT
Systems for thermal forming an object are provided. In some embodiments, a system for thermal forming an object using a mold includes one or more processors, and memory including instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to perform the following operations: receiving a mold identifier identifying the mold; determining mold process information for forming the object based on the mold identifier; inserting a material into a heating area, the material having a geometry selected based on the mold process information; heating the material using one or more independently controllable heat sources; and forming the object by disposing the heated material over or into at least a portion of the mold.
