Repairing or coating subsea pipelines
A wrap tape cassette for a subsea pipeline repair or coating machine includes a drum for carrying a wrap tape wound on the drum. A housing defines an exit opening for the wrap tape to be dispensed from the drum onto a pipeline during a repair or coating operation. The drum may be mounted to the housing for rotational and longitudinal movement relative to the housing to dispense the wrap tape through the exit opening on being unwound from the drum. A leading end of the wrap tape may be attached to an anchor element that is arranged as a closure for the exit opening and, when moved from the exit opening, for attachment to a pipeline being repaired or coated.
Fluid Leak Repair
Fluid leak repair kits are described comprising a putty, self-amalgamating tape, and a composite material for use in encompassing the self-amalgamating tape. The composite material comprises a flexible sheet or tape and a matrix component for binding the flexible sheet or tape. The matrix component comprises a resin or water-activated matrix component which, when cured, forms an outer shell.
Distributed sensing system employing a film adhesive
A sensing apparatus includes a sheath, a central member disposed in the sheath, at least one optical fiber disposed with the central member, and a film adhesive disposed between the central member and the sheath, the film adhesive provided in one or more sheets or strips and disposed in one or more layers between the central member and the sheath, and the film adhesive attached to the sheath.
Tape Application Device for Helical Application of a Tape on a Tube
A tape application device (1) comprises a tube holder (9), a roll retainer (11), guide means (35) for guiding a tape (3) from the inside (7a) of a roll (7) to the outside of a tube (5) and displacement means for rotating around an imaginary axis and translating in the direction of the imaginary axis the tube holder, roll retainer and guide means relative to each other, such that the tape is pulled out of the roll on the inside and is helically wound on the outside of the tube. The roll retainer (11) has support means (26) which support the roll only on the outside, which support means are formed by suction cups (27). The guide means (35) are formed by a resilient helical tape guide (37) which, during operation, resiliently pushes with one end (37a) against the inside (7a) of the roll (7) and with the other end (7b) is present close to the tube (5).
PIPE WITH AN OUTER WRAP
This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with an outer wrap. In one embodiment, a pipe includes an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. The pipe also includes an outer wrap applied to the outer wall. The outer wrap may include fibers and plastic. The outer wrap may span the corrugation crests producing a smooth outer surface.
FLEXIBLE FLUID TRANSPORT PIPE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A flexible pipe designed to transport fluids that include, from the interior toward the exterior: an internal tubular sheath with an axis (A-A) defining an internal passage for fluid circulation; a composite reinforcing structure applied around the tubular sheath and connected to the tubular sheath; at least one sealing layer made of thermoplastic material applied around the composite reinforcing structure; at least one ply of tensile armor, not connected to the sealing layer, the at least one ply of tensile armor ply comprising at least one armor element wound around the sealing layer; the thickness of the sealing layer being less than 15 mm.

FLUID HOSE AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
According to one aspect, the present disclosure includes a fluid hose. The fluid hose may include an inner liner, a reinforcement layer located radially outside of the inner liner, and a cover. The reinforcement layer including one or more preformed ribbons having a plurality of wires formed in a strip of cushioning material.
